I was just about to buy C&C4 (haven't played a C&C game since red alert 1). Is 4 really bad? And which would you suggest to buy (only 1)?

If you're gonna get one I'd say C&C3 Tiberium Wars. The Kane's Wrath expansion is a good addition to it.

C&C4 is just so different from any other RTS bearing the name 'C&C'. There is no base-building, no resource-gathering (you have to fetch tiberium crystals for upgrades but its nothing like the economy in previous games). Its not great but I only spent £5 on it. This guy just hates it.
