borderlands is fucking amazing. get it.
borderlands is fucking amazing. get it.
Ill be the one who says don't. Shit is so retarded it loses its fun half way thru with how overpowered you become.
At first its fun cause of the unique abilities and weapons you get, but half way through your abilities become so op that its easy kill for most things, then your weapons become ridiculously powerful, that one you get them with ammo regen its like "why am I playing this game? The challenge isn't there any more and the story is pretty shit".
I feel sorry for the people that missed out on the Ys sale, that one really creeped up out of nowhere and didn't last long. Glad I woke up early.
Borderlands is the tits. One of my funnest gaming experience.
Newest flash sale is only 25% off for some game I never heard of and its lasting for 8 days. >.>
Age checks on your own account are fucking retarded. Misclicked when I was checking a game and now I can't browse anything since the age check doesn't pop up anymore.
Yep. Those projectiles are a bitch to dodge. And with my current stats 1 hit = 10% of my HP.
This is true. While the games have the same recurring character (Adol) they can be played in any order. My order was Felgahna > Seven > Origin > Chronicles and I never really had any major spoilers.
Seven might spoil to VI to some extent since one of the characters from Ys VI returns in Seven as a playable character and does make some brief mentions of the events in Ys VI. Can't really say if it's a huge spoiler or not since I never played VI.
Awesome, was worried for a bit.
^
Eh, get bored with a bad plot and repetitive game play.
What were the deals on the Ys games? Origins and Oath of Felghana are 11.99 and 5.09 respectively at the moment. I've never played any of the game from that series, but I think I will now.
Origin was $7.99 and Oath is still the same price currently.
Do it! They are easily some of the best and most unknown/underrated action rpg games. Normal mode if you want to feel like an overpowered god. Hard, Nightmare if you want a good/insane challenge, based on skill of course. Both games give you plenty of magic/tools to work with, also contain some of my favorite music tracks ever.
I wish I could say it only gets better lol.
There are some minor, maybe even major spoilers but it didn't ruin my experience with VI much, as I didn't know what the hell Geis was referring to. I played them all ass backwards. Started last year with Ys Seven, VI, Oath, Chronicles I+II, Origin.
I will hold out and see if Oath gets a flash sale at all I guess, and if not, just grab it at 60% discount.
Picked up witcher 2 for 15 and kotor for 2.5. Speaking of which anyone know a good place for kotor mods? Maybe if there is one a texture update or something along those lines?
Only ever played Ys 1 & 2 on DS. How do these Steam releases compare in terms of gameplay?
Sorry for shitty quality but I always loved that ad spot for Oath. In Oath in Felghana Adol is pretty overpowered if you don't play on Hard difficulty and above, double jump, guard magic that completely negates damage, dash, overdrive (cuts damage in half, lets you swing uninterrupted and fast as fuck). The friend that got me into it simply described it as Zelda times ten.
Origin has much more balance and replay value since you get to play as a total of 3 characters with different story lines and play styles. Basically girl plays like Adol, Hugo is a new play style that I hope Falcom uses again in the future (basically he has cool lazers, a ranged type), and the Claw is a fucking berserker very close range with yes.. claws. Everyone's magic is unique, I haven't seen the Claws yet.
Installing them now, also grabbed Two Worlds 2 and trying to convince myself I don't really need the Sega hits collection, but goddamn there's a lot of games in it.
