Do they disable demos for games on sale or something? I can't download the Orcs Must Die demo, it keeps saying "This game is not ready to be played in offline mode" when I try to get the demo.

EDIT: Nevermind, working now. Had to update Steam apparently.

So far I have bought Bioshock Inf(from amazon), The Swapper(from the publisher for soundtrack edition), Mark of the Ninja, Bastion soundtrack Edit, Devil May Cry 3 & 4,Orcs Must Die 2 with DLC, and Deus Ex with all DLC. Only thing left to buy is Gunpoint when it pops, FarCry Blood Dragon, and I really want to play COD World at War again for some reason. So if that goes on sale, I'll cop it.

Think I have done a good job only buying games I am sure I'll play and not spending too much, besides Bioshock.

I think Blood Dragon might have been on sale when Farcry 3 went on sale. I didn't check.

So far have grabbed that, System Shock 2, FTL, and all the OMD2 DLC just from selling cards. My wallet is unrustled.

Is it just me or has this been the most underwhelming steam sale thus far? Especially the flash/voting deals.

Either played/own any of the good games that have been on sale. Have only bought System Shock 2 and Civ 5 BNW so far, and Metro Last Light but that was best buy... and one cent.

I've bought quite a bit, but also put off a lot of games I wanted (waiting for them to hit the magic $5 price point).

I hope Eurotruck Simulator comes back around since it didn't win the vote the other day. My nephew really wants that one

Yea personally i've been pretty disappointed thus far with the sales but they'll probably be saving the better stuff for last, then again it may be cause i'm a tight fisted git and don't wanna pay over the odds just incase so i'll wait til the end lol

For me, part of it is because I already have the majority of what I wanted from the last few year's of sales. Also wasn't that many heavy-hitters on PC this year that interest me, so there isn't much for me to choose from the AAA selection, mostly just indie games and older titles.

Granted, lack of indie and publisher game packs doesn't help much this time around. That or I can't find them anyways.

The last two years saw mostly games that are ports from a dying console generation so yeah, this team sale is a little rickety. The indies have been extremely solid though, here's hoping for a Gunpoint flash sale.

They've been pretty bland the last few days, with a lot of games being repeated. Seriously, how many times does Torchlight II have to go on sale for five bucks before everyone finally has a copy? Put some goddamn Street Fighter on sale already.

So I'm trying to save some money this year and not really get much from steam if anything since I have Tomb Raider, Bioshock Inf, Metro, Skyrim, and Batman to name a few still yet to be played.

Staring down Deus Ex, Dark Souls, Dragon Age, Assassins Creed 3 (expensive as fuck), and Far Cry 3 (expensive).

Should I pull the trigger on any of these? Like I said, trying to stay on the cheaper side but a few games are tempting.

Of course. But I have 10+ games I still have yet to play, are any of these titles really worth adding to that list? I hear a lot about Dark Souls so that I'll probably grab, but the others I'm torn on.
