Shouldn't Deus Ex be on hold for the Director's Cut version though?

dark souls: Prepare to die; worth getting at 75% off or you think it will go on flash?
Takes a lot of work imo to make dark souls fun on pc. It is an amazing game and I played the hell out of it on consoles. But the port is piss poor. Quite possibly the worst port I've ever seen.
Dragon Age Origins is an extremely good game. Dragon Age 2 only if you're head over heels with the first game and love the lore, because as a game it's lazy and it shows at every turn. I was pretty die hard into the first one and I enjoyed the second on ONLY because of my fascination with the world itself; even then it's a hard recommend unless you just love the game as much as I did.
That and there's a pretty fantastic amount of mods and patches to give it a facelift. Even one rumored to help multiplayer connectivity when you're looking to summon friends.

Just picked up Dark Souls as my first steam game and just made an account.
Any of these games for under 10 bucks worth picking up/trying?
I was noticed Tropico 4 was on sale and saw that mentioned int he sim city threads as a good game.
Any cheap games for recommendations?
Almost everything I've bought so far have been indie titles under $10.
Gunpoint - Puzzle action platform with a 'hacking' mechanic that will remind you of Ghost Trick if you've played it.
Mark of the Ninja - Stealth 2d platformer. Very highly reviewed but I haven't played it yet.
Dust: An Elysian Tail - ARPG. Apparently it triggers people's furry proximity alarms. It's got beautiful art and animation notwithstanding.
Dyad - Bought it because it looks like a more abstract clone of Rez from the old PS2/Dreamcast days.
Antichamber - Indie Portal clone.
Bit.Trip.Runner 2 - Music/rhythm platformer. I'm a fan of the first game
McPixel - Phone game converted to steam. It was 99 cents so why not?
Mark of the Ninja is absolutely PHENOMENAL and a steal at the discounted price. Other games I would add:
Bastion - Action/Role Playing game that's beautiful. The narration of the game really adds to the experience and the way the world forms around you really adds to the experience.
Orcs Must Die! (OMD!2) - Third person shoot/tower defense game. Another game that is an absolute steal at the discounted price. If you have friends on Steam, OMD!2 has co-op that really builds on the first one and the co-op is done really really well.
Super Meat Boy - 2D Platformer that's super god damn hard, meant to be reminiscent of the NES era.
The Walking Dead - Narrative heavy, point-and-click-esque adventure game. Story is super well done, but your enjoyment will be based on how you like the adventure style gameplay.
Castle Crashers - 2D side scrolling beat-em up. Fun game, but better played with friends.
Hotline Miami - Super violent, top down shooter. I didn't have a ton of fun with it, but it's very highly recommended among the indie scene.
I can keep going if you want, but between Correction and I, you should have a good start on games.
Also if you're new to Steam sales CS, and you didn't see the message, only buy Daily Deals/Flash Sales/Community Choice discounts. If what you wanted hasn't shown up/hasn't repeated, buy it for whatever it's at on the last day.
OMD!, both 1 and 2, have demos available, so make sure you try them out first. Dungeon Defenders is similar, but has more ARPG and character-building than OMD!, and it also has a demo available.
DD is especially fun with co-op, but not so much if you play solo (whereas OMD! is also good solo).
From the front page both Batman and Deus Ex are wonderful fucking games for those prices
Vote for Marvel Avengers in the Community's Choice deal, guys. You can get the Avengers Assemble Pack for the low low price of $42.50!
is rage worth 5 bones?
i forgive nothing! i'll pass. back log long enough as it is
Bastion is the best indie game I've personally played. Do get it, it's the community's choice right now for 2.24.
