Steam will be ultimately unplayable if it sucks this much to multitask.

You must be new to pc games in general, this is strictly an app thing. Steam doesn't control it, just look for "rub in windowed" setting in your games.

Alternatively, windows 7 is very good with how it renders stuff, most of the time you can minimize a game and reopen it with very little delay. It's of no use if you stream but for general multitasking it's fine.

Just sucks that I have to alt tab and stop playing the game to type in an instant messanger vs putting the controller down for ahalf second. Would be nice if I could do it like ffxi where I can be browsing while running around w/o having to stop.

also, just got Bully, which is the worst by far for me so far. No windowed mode at all and when I alt tab, it moves all the shit from my first monitor over to my second

I would say it depends on if you like space shooter flying games. I bought it because it sounded interesting and looked to be fun, but when I actually went to play it, it just feels way over my head with the controls. Maybe I'll try it with a controller (if it has controller support) it'll be better. But without any knowledge of what kind of games you like and you having none of me, I'll just say that I regret my purchase, especially since ff7's on sale now and Reccetear or Hotline Miami may be hitting up the flash sale next.
But that's just based on the genre itself and not on the game. No clue how it stacks up to others of its kind.
