Most underwhelming sale ever. Don't know if steam is to blame or the lack of new PC games that haven't been played to death already because they were worth buying full price =(

My theory is that since we're between console generations we've got fatigue from the same console ports and their sequels, taking the lustre off steam sales since most 'new' games are really sequels.

If I look at my wishlist, the overwhelming majority of it is on sale at 50% or more, so I have no real reason to be disappointed that this sale didn't take more then a hundred bucks out of my steam wallet.

edit: Also really want to pick up skyrim, but $36... not sure how much time I'll actually spend on it even though I did like the little bit I played of my pirated one.

Tomb raider is worth it, but also no problem in waiting till Christmas if your backlog is huge. With forgettable multiplayer and a single player you only need to beat once, you can afford to wait on it.

The main thing is, in the days of yore, the steam sale had a lot of stuff 75% to 85/90% (And on games that were already $15 or less, so the dollar amount was mad low.)
Now it's a lot more 50% to 75%, with even 33%/40%

The only insane deal was Deus Ex, and that was tempered by the proper fixed Directors Cut that's yet to be released.

Been buying up some Tower Defense style games this sale, picked up Orcs Complete, Defense Grid, Iron Brigade, Toy Soldiers, Prime World: Defenders. Already have Harvest, Sanctum, Sol Survivor, Dungeon Defender, Revenge of the Titans. Anything glaring out there that I'm just flat out missing?

well, there will be another 3 games for the next flash sale to join the next voted winner, but I'd say odds are good it won't be anything new. But who knows.
I gave up my hopes of Rogue Legacy hitting flash sale and I bought that tonight.

Tomb Raider bundle is up which works out better and includes the latest version £11.24 not sure what that is in $ though
