It really wasn't a horrible game.
Story and characters and writing were really bad (not that the standards were all that high to begin with) and I didn't like how you had to use certain weapons on certain enemies, but other than that the game play was fun enough. I'll probably run through the game on a harder difficulty once it's free on PSN+

But I'd like to point out you're sitting there treating a AAA game like an indie title. An indie title can have half of the aspects that make up the game suck ass because you don't expect much of it and can enjoy it for that, but when over half of the things that make up the game are terrible in a AAA title, you've got a damn problem.

As a hard-core fan of the series I didn't have any major complaints with the game once I actually sat down and played it. It wasn't really a "true" Devil May Cry game persay, but I still went straight thru DMD and enjoyed every minute of it (except for maybe those fucking blue/red rat things, which were downright infuriating sometimes)

But again, this is why I was looking for the game for under $10 (and now free thanks to PSN+) rather than buying it at full price or even around $30. It's not a crime for a AAA title to end up being mediocre. But if it has some redeeming quality, the gameplay in this case, I don't mind checking it out for a low enough price.

It's a Diablo 2 clone, if you're into that sort of game. Would recommend picking it up.

Adds a couple new classes that spice things up quite a bit, and general changes to loot and gameplay/difficulty.

I know, so funny. Every game ever should be amazing, no exceptions. That's what not buying the game or buying it for very cheap is for.
