Hmm, nobody posted about the Trine deal? 75% off until today ($5 instead of the usual $20). This game looked interesting to me, kind of like a modern Lost Vikings, but the $20 price was a little high when reviewers were saying it was easy to get through in a few hours. But for $5? Sold.

Why don't Steam just turn gifted copies on for all games Although they are doing it more lately, seems a bit silly for ppl to lose extra copies.

There really should be the option to check-mark items within a purchase to use as gifting, rather than making the whole buy-for-yourself buy-for-others two completely separate transactions.

it brings up systems where people try to sell excess games in the packs for extra money like a "hey Im buying this pack but it has this game I dont want, for 10bux its yours" on a pack that large, if you got 10-20 bucks for a few games you would turn a pretty hefty profit

Pondering if I should get this... (The THQ Complete pack that is)What games out of it made it so you got it? I have heard good things about a lot of the titles (Warhammer, Company of Heroes, Saints Row 2) but then not much at all of some others (Juiced 2, Frontlines, Titan Quest, Red Faction). Also my other fear is that there seems to be so much, not sure if I would/could get to it all :3...

Basically, I am trying to convince myself to get it, as I do have a tendency to buy games but take forever to get to them if they don't pull me in well...

Shattered Horizon Free trial for 3 days (Til Sunday 1 PST) and half off til Monday. Multiplayer shooter that takes place in an entire 0 gravity setting. Got decent reviews but with all the shooters out there, not to sure. Can't hurt to give it a try.

Wings of Prey 50% off ($25) for Midweek Madness, and Serious Sam HD 50% off until March 2.

Serious Sam used to be one of my favorite games, especially awesome for co-op multiplayer on a LAN with friends. Not sure it'd still hold up so well though, I think Left 4 Dead probably takes that whole "holy shit look at how many things are coming" experience, but does it better.

So what do you guys think of the new UI?

Personally, the biggest change I like is being able to accept fucking friend invites from your friends menu, rather than having to go into the community manager.

It could really use a compact mode though like the old Steam UI did. That header bar is way too big for my liking, and there's no thumbnail-icon option like the old look, you have to deal with the icon bars instead.
