i haven't had a foil card in months![]()
How's your level treating you for packs though?
Eh I just recently noticed the whole Steam trading cards thing because of the summer sale. I don't even have my level high enough to participate or craft lol. Do people trade cards that they do not have duplicates of?
For games that require 10+ cards I'll usually sell/trade those and try to craft the smaller ones. Same for dupes.
Thank you Jaybar. The instructions say that I will usually get half of a set of cards from playing the game, so I did. I played Skyrim and got 4 of the 8 cards.
It said to get the other half from trading in the marketplace. I need a full deck to craft a badge so my question is, why would anyone trade cards when they need them to complete their own decks?
I am only level 5 right now so I can't craft yet but I am trying to figure out how other people trade and what motivates them to let go of cards when they need them to complete a set.
When you make a badge, it gives those who have the badge a chance at a booster. Badges cap at 5, at some point, you'll do nothing but sell the cards.
Obviously, only about half the people who own a game can craft a badge. (Less, because badges can have 5 levels, so for anybody that wants L5, 4 more people will be unable to craft a badge.)
There's a wrinkle though.
Once you have earned your allotment of cards for a game, you're eligible to get booster packs, one is spawned globally each time someone crafts a badge.
Each booster pack has 3 random cards for that game. It's always three, regardless of if a game takes 5 or 15.
So you have to run through iterations for each set size to get the number of L1s*, but ultimately, the number of people that can have badges is less than the number of people who own the game.
*(It's 75% for 6 card sets, a bit higher for 5 card, but drops from there.)
What you do with the cards pmuch falls under which camp you want to be in.
I don't fucking understand
They're actually making a Civ V spin-off in space.
Hmm, tempted to get FFVII for old times sake. Was this the port that had the awful music?
Pretty sure there's a way to swap in the proper ones, though.
lol![]()
We'll fucking pay you to play it.
Arkham Origins sucked, yes?
There's a huge fan made patch for FFVII you can install that will transform the game to a pseudo-HD that almost looks like PS2 FFX. I used it when I bought FFVII on an Amazon sale. It'll disable achievements, but it makes the game feel very different on the replay. I couldn't even get the game to boot without the alteration, for what it's worth.
In addition to sprites, you can swap out the music too for remastered soundtracks like the OC Remix one.
