I am considering this one too. Its hard to judge a game based off the comment system Steam uses. There's a lot of negative commenting on it but I think it's on sale as well.

i mean the gameplay is taken straight out of the old grid-based tactical RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre (with some between-mission strategerizing a la X-com), if you dig that kinda style you'll enjoy the game. the music is great, animation gorgeous, story compelling. bit simplistic and on the short side but it's a nice way to spend ten hours

So like, I have a 80 hour+ pirated version of Skyrim. If I bought it on Steam, would I be able to get my save files on there? If so I will probably get it just to have it on Steam.

Edit: it seems I already own Skyrim. But my question remains.

I don't see the big deal. There's tons of free ones and it looks like to me that it's up to the person who created the mod whether or not to charge. Is this not how it's always been? I know there's always been some wow addons that charged. Just 90% didn't.

Has anyone played RimWorld? I don't know that it qualifies as a roguelike, but it's a pretty fun game. It's in alpha now and has been for quite a long time, but it's progressing nicely.

Adding to that list: FTL and Sunless Sea. FTL's a little too... structured? for my tastes but the atmosphere in Sunless Sea is spot on. Go in without a clue and learn from the deaths.
