Remember the rule, wait for a daily, flash, or last day.
Though, with the refund system, if you don't play it, you could swap it for the lower price. But tbh that's a hassle for everyone, & should only be done OUTSIDE the big sale events, because everyone should know better during.

is the Steam machine really worth it? I mostly use my laptop for work/school nowaday (5-6 years old) it could barely run any games. I have a PC but that shit is like 7 years old i built back then for $700 (duo core)...It'd be nice to not spend a lot of money and still have a system to run most PC/Steam game

To The Moon - My favorite story of all time is on sale for $2.49. 50% if your purchase goes towards a charity for autism as well. You would be doing yourself a great injustice if you don't shell out that little of cash for such a great story.

It's about 4-6 hours to complete. Play it on a rainy day when you have nothing else to do you will not be disappointed.

A decent desktop can be built for under $500 (not including peripherals). It looks like steam boxes vary on specs and prices. For myself, I'd rather have a pc.

Ya steam box is somewhat overpriced if you have the know-how to build/upgrade your own. Tho years like this make me sometimes want to just buy a pre built... MB/CPU year... Ugh

Edit: just out of curiosity, can you upgrade a steam box? It's just a basic pc I assume with some special os? Would newer parts work as well or what?

The hardware is normal PC hardware.
The case configurations/form factors may make shoehorning some things in difficult or impossible though

I know steam is not making the hardware but how can steam promote something that is hard to upgrade? That's basically the foundation of pc gaming ffs.

I bought my first game for the sale today. Ended up grabbing a 4 pack of Chivalry. Looks interesting enough and was cheap. Gave two to friends. Not sure what I'm going to do with the other copy!

Bleh so much for Mordor going below $25 (current price and a daily deal). It's already been $20 multiple times elsewhere, and as low as $16 with Best Buy Gamers Club. Can I at least get Oblivion GOTY for $5?! It's only been out for a century!

Honestly most of it was for DBZ Xenoverse and the rest were small impulse buys like the DOOM Collection, Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, and some other things that added up fast.

I've had Prison Architect for a long time. I haven't played it in a while, not in the last few major patches, but it's a pretty good game especially for $5.

Also, if you don't yet own Terraria, it's on sale for $5 right now and there's a major patch coming on June 30th. That's a LOT of content for $5.
