It was a Vista/7 command you could use, I've yet to find a method for XP.

Only thing I wish Steam did was sandbox registry entries and what not within the game folders so shit was easier to backup/make more-portable.
Civilization IV: Complete for $10.
Civilization III: Complete for $1.25.
No excuse now to not own at least Civ3. I've never played a proper Civ game (just the one on the DS shortly, and a few hours of Alpha Centauri), looking forward to when the download finishes.
I've never played civ, but for 1.25, or 10$, it might be worth putting it on my laptop for when I'm at work.
Shattered Horizon is still 15$, anyone know if thats worth getting?
I heard it's pretty, aaaaaaaaaaaaaand thats it from a friend who bought it and played it.
It was worth it when it was $5. Kinda fun thinking about FPS on a different axis.

Free Portal
There's no way there is anyone who hasn't played this, but there you have it.

Do I need to explain? Go fucking play it already. NOW.
Edit: Damnit, beaten by a couple seconds... oh well, it deserves two posts. It really does.
I think Free portal deserves a post in the other deals thread too or even its own thread because it is JUST THAT AMAZING!
Great game and its free. No reason to not play it now.
steam server got bombarded lol, "Steam server is currently too busy to handle your request." when i tried to download it
I thought it was just a trial until may 24th, but the game is really truly free to keep even beyond that day. Hot stuff.
When I tried to log in today, it says my steam account is disabled.
WTF? I barely ever play on steam and the last thing I bought was SFIV...
I played portal at a friends house, and because of how short it was never bought it myself ~_~ so this is great news.
Torchlight is also 10$.
I can't really get into it, wish I waited a week longer before I had bought it. Really no clue what class to play that actually turns out to be fun.
I could never 'get' into Torchlight, it was more of just a mindless time killer when I needed it, since I've already played this game to death a decade ago on my old Windows 98 machine, except it was called Diablo back then.
Granted, the lack of challenge even on harder difficulty makes the game slightly boring to play for me, but I guess that's my fault for playing Alchemist and speccing the shit out of his beginner spell. Nothing can get near me due to the knockback on the spell, and with all the loot the game shits at you, I always have a buttload of mana potions handy to spam when needed.
In Steam-related news, Valve needs to give the official word on wtf is up with Civilization 4 for Mac, as those of us who purchased it prior to the Mac Steam release are unable to access the Mac copy, nor can we repurchase the collection for the 'Steam Play' enabled copy since Steam already sees our accounts as owning the game.
fucking steam sales fuck up my bank accounts, because my bank always calls me going OMG DID U DO A BUNCH OF TRANSACTIONS WITH VALVE? DISABLING YOUR CARD FOR YOU, BECAUSE WE CARE
gah, pisses me off
Banks should have a txt service that dings your cellphone (assuming you have one) asking for confirmation before they block it for suspicion. >.>
