Anyways, Steam sale on the Serious Sam HD games. One in particular I have an interest in is Serious Sam HD: Gold Edition which includes both the first and second encounter in their HD and original variants. Granted I already own the originals, but it would be nice to have a digital copy alongside the visual remakes.

Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 for $10.19.


Valve is spoiling Mac owners with sales like that, given Mac ports from other developers typically cost $10 more than the retail price of the PC version when it was new typically 1-2 years earlier.

Bought l4d2 as well, is there a good amount of people still playing? last time i tried l4d i couldn't even find enough people for a game, but i think thats because everyone has moved to the second one.

Hmm, I'm hot a huge Survival/Horror fan, but I might have to pick these up to. 10 bucks for 2 games is one hell of a deal. Does this pack also include The Passing?

I wouldn't even call L4D a survival nor a horror game. It's not exactly scary, it's just running and gunning the crap out of hundreds of zombies. And The Passing is free so it is certainly included.

Little point in getting L4D1. Especially since they just added the best stage from the first to the second game officially.

It's still only $3 more for the bundle, I'd just get it for the sake of it, as well as a quick run-through the campaigns that are still only available in it.

I'm still waiting for Valve to eventually just create a "Left 4 Dead" loader where you plug-in contents from the L4D games you own, and it centralizes everything along with the servers rather than loading up a separate game. Perhaps people would be more inclined to play L4D1 content that way.

I know this is going to sound like a retarded question but how good is L4D1/L4D2 single player? Can you use AI bots and is it actually any fun to do so?

Decided to pick both of them up for the hell of it, now to wait til tonight to play. Damn my shitty 1Mbps connection.

Besides, I should try another zombie game, last one I played was HotD: Overkill.
