And just like last year, all of today's deals are 'last chance' deals from the last two weeks. Oh well.

I'm happy that's how it is, got the games I want that are on it and can't play the games I want that I haven't got. Want to try Mafia 2 but not wasting money on a game that my PC can't even handle.
Got, SMB, Amnesia, Claptrap DLC, BC2, PvZ, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. pack, and the Killing Floor DLC London's Finest and Nightfall packs. Feel pretty good.
I didn't have Dead Space so I picked that one up for 5 EU, not bad.
Disappointed at the lack of Morrowind GOTY this entire week. Oh well, this is what I racked up getting throughout all the sales:
Spoiler: show
$59.98 spent for what gave me access to over 15 games. Not too shabby, even if a lot of them were oldies.
My haul
Spoiler: show
$30.23 for eight games, not bad.
Much better than $100 for 5 with my PS3/DS games during black friday.
Should have grabbed Machinarium during the Humble Indie Bundle #2
Fuck, forgot about nabbing Broken Sword pack while the general sales were up, thanks for the reminder.
I picked up Oblivion, Fallout 3 (had both but on the PS3), Bioshock 1 & 2, and BC2. Still on the fence about whether I should nab Mafia II also while it's on sale.
At the very least braid would have been worth it from the bundle as well if you haven't played it. And yeah .01 (or whatever you feel like paying) and just grabbing machinarium woulda been better than the steam deal.
Anybody else glad the sales are over? I can't seem to stop myself from getting the games, and I never play them so it's just a waste of money. Getting close to 400 games in my list now I think =/
haha you put me to shame but yeah i know what you're saying. i went from about 60 to 140 just the past 2 weeks.
I don't mind it that much as I tend to get my money's worth (of the amount I spent altogether) out of the first couple titles, so the rest are like freebies to me that I play at my own leisure.
Granted, still miffed that Morrowind:GOTY wasn't on sale at all.
Well, it never went on sale beyond the standard -50% off on everything, so I grabbed The Last Remnant on Sunday for $20. Now I knew going in that people harped on this game as subpar, but hell with that, I'm actually loving this game. But I won't crap this thread up with debates over game quality and end it there.
I think people harped more on the quality of the shitty Xbox 360 version that ran like shit, than the actual game itself.
I did some reading up on the X-Box vs PC thing and wow, yeah, sound like this version kicks several kinds of ass in relation to X-Box. From what I can tell its like they gutted the game and redid all of the underlying stats, requirements, bug fixes, graphics improvements, everything.
And I see room for improvement. I would totally love a Last Remnant II as long as it didn't go the way of many sequels by killing off the best parts in favor of a new gimick and a quick release.
PC version is so much better than the 360. Really trying not to derail it but a song has to be posted!

A lot of people complained about Last Remnant being too hard. Yeah there was a bit of a learning curve with the battle system but once you got used to it and you got access to having more freedom it really was a fun battle system. I put in a lot of hours with this game and had a lot of fun playing it.... but like so many games I never really bothered to finish it. I was more than strong enough to kill the last boss I was just always too busy doing all the random quests and weapons upgrades to bother. I guess I knew it would probably be a let down so I just didn't finish it.
It's a shame you never finished it. I kinda liked how the story finished up, and the storyline in general was pretty decent actually. You just have to be careful to keep your BR as low as possible so you can get better skill ups off of hard fights. It's kind of weird to say, but this game actually rewards you for skipping a lot of the random encounters. You still have to grind stats of course, but there are guides on Gamefaqs that can tell you how to do that easily enough.
