Yeah I made the mistake of fighting absolutely everything so getting any skill ups was a total pain in the ass and I was way behind on skills but my weapons were the best so everything melted anyway. I restarted the game once caused I missed something that caused me not to get like one of the best fighters (I can't remember the name now but it was one of the big guys that was like the Governor or a war town or something). But even then at that point I really didn't bother to read up the stat building so by the time I got to stuff in the end I looked up strategies and it was like first you need to cast _____ and use this ability and the fight is over in 2 rounds. I had nobody even close to being able to do any of those skills and I couldn't get them easily so that pissed me off.

Civ 5 is $20 at http://www.greenmangaming.com/games/...ivilization-v/, $10 cheaper than steam sale right now. It's a steamworks game, so they give you a code once you purchase, enter it in to steam and it'll be added to your account. Worked fine for me.
