Dunno about you, but Steam likes to waste 100mb HD/bandwidth for nearly every game I download by having a few years worth of DirectX runtime releases packed in with the game, just to have it do the DirectX install check.....and in the case of some other games, the .Net framework also.
Steam has measures in place to detect your hardware/driver version, why the bloody hell can't they check your DX/Net version also?
As for the sale, I don't think I can be arsed to play the 'play the games you don't own for a chance to win 10 games' contest again this year. Can't wait to get some shit cheap though.
