If you want HL2 , buy the Orange Box for 19.99. Get HL2 and episode 1 and 2, plus portal and TF2 as well. I think it's worth the price, even with TF2 going free.

Worth it? Never played a Heroes game.

I think if you're interested in playing that type of game, King's Bounty and its expansion are much better alternatives. I logged close to 100 hours in one playthrough of the original game's campaign, and will probably get the same out of the 2 expansions.

On the other hand, I just purchased HoMM5 and within 10mins of playing the original campaign, I'm already getting bored. Given, I've played it before, so that may be part of it, but the whole game just seems a lot more dated than King's Bounty than it should be.

Magicka is very cool, haven't played it since right after the first free map expansion really, so can't speak for Nippon/PvP, but main story and Vietnam were fun.

How is Darksiders? Is it like Devil May Cry?

It's closer to GoW in terms of combat, but it's much more open and you can constantly backtrack to get new items and pick up stuff you missed, it's definitely worth the $5

You should really wait until the last day, as they tend to have 'best of' blowouts where previous day's deals become reactivated.

Yeah and I think borderlands was like #2 seller that day so not a bad chance of it popping up again the last day.
