There'd a SW mod for BF:2142 as well here, has space ships as well.
Nvm, updated
Think I'm going to pick up GTA IV again for PC after seeing this:
L4D bundle for $7. Scoreeeeee. I'd like to pick up The Sims 3, but still a little steep for what I want to pay.
Seems that every day there's a disgustingly overpriced EA game on the Steam Summer Sale. Is EA stealth-marketing their Origin store?
Spoiler: show
Yeah, that stopped me from grabbing Guild Wars yesterday. Even at 1/2 off, it was a bit above what I would jump on. It stays in the wishlist top 10 for a hopeful win of the raffle.
GTA IV mod looks really really nice, idk tho, not in the mood to pay for a game again just for that. Arkham Asylum worth picking up if i haven't played it yet?
I missed a daily deal. Do you guys think that former deals will pop back up, maybe on the last day of the sale?
1.2.5 works with 1.0.7.0v of GTA4 which steam uses.
Picked up Killing Floor, and L4d2.... who wants to play some co-op? lol
Was looking at killing floor and arkham asylum. Might get l4d pack for the girlfriend so she can stop using my computer.
Holy shit that new L4D2 campaign map is nuts
The PC version supports the 360 pad, so if you have one of those hooked up it controls exactly like it does on a 360. That's how I played it, so I couldn't tell you how the KB/mouse controls are. Based on similar titles that I've tried playing with that combination (Alpha Protocol, Beyond Good and Evil, Assassin's Creed, etc), third person KB/mouse is a bit awkward.
Past that, the game runs very nicely even on modest hardware.
Yeah, I wouldn't even try with kb/mouse. Just grab a wired (or wireless, whatever; I hate batteries) 360 pad and use that for games designed for a controller.
I've never played a LFD game before so will the first game even be worth playing if I have the second? Do people even play it online still? It would only be $2.50 more than only LFD2 to get the bundle but if the sequel does everything better I may never play the first at all so maybe it's not worth it.
In my opinion the first L4D is vastly superior to the second. The characters are more likable, the dialogue between them is better, and overall I just liked the game more. While the second isn't by any means a bad game, to me it definitely feels like a product of "the first did so well, let's clone it and hope it does as well too." My biggest gripe with the second one was there were a lot of things that took me out of the moment because it started feeling campy and less serious like the first one. Where there was subtly in the things that made the first good, it felt very heavy handed in the second one.
The second game could have very easily been just an expansion pack/episode add-on to the first. They're both worth buying at that price, anyway.
