It's a poor man's God of War clone that doesn't have much in the way of originality or spirit. Best played in the "Fuck I'm bored, let's boot up something" mindset.
ill just not leave this here
http://amd4u.com/dirt3promo/keys/
somebody fucked up and released Dirt 3 keys.. thousands of them..
I wish I weren't paranoid enough to actually make use of that. Not risking my Steam account.
meh i have like 2 games on my steam account i could care less. But best of luck to people who use it.
Pretty sure a ban is coming for anyone who uses them since they're so publicly available to check (unless they've actually been released before hand, which it seems they haven't) since it's against rules to use them. I can't imagine if the numbers haven't been release publicly that they won't just line up all the numbers and ban anyone using one.
The retail keys list doesn't have Dirt 3 listed so I imagine if the game doesn't require an internet connection to play it you could just get an installer and install it with one of those cd keys sans steam.
e: nvm, I guess it does work, the list must not have been updated.
Normally I ignore the temptation, but I didn't think about it and activated it. I think they'll just delete the game from your library than a ban.

Because if I lost my steam account then I'm not bothering with making another. There are threads on this already.
Absolutely no need for senseless panic in anycase. You can be sure there are mechanisms to detect which Steam users have registered keys legitimately and which have not.
From the Steam help desk:
All accounts in a user's possession for any of the following activities will be suspended:
This includes using an unauthorized ("hacked") Steam client to access Steam, attempting to register fake CD Keys or attempting to register a CD Key which has been published on the internet.
welp ill let you kiddies know if i get hit with ban hammer. I literally have orange box and MW2 installed. Neither do i play at all
http://www.greenmangaming.com has Batman: Arkham City/Deus Ex: Augmented Edition/Dead Island/Red Orchestra on sale and all the games are confirmed Steam Activated games.
You can use the following codes to take even more off, I'm not sure which of these codes still works since they've been killing them as they caught people abusing them.
* 20SUM-MERSA-VINGS (20% off non-specials and preorders) (Worked on Batman/Deus Ex earlier today but I didn't pull the trigger).
* READY-UPDEA-ISLAN (20% off Dead Island only, on 9/9 it reduces to 15% off)
* EATIN-BRAIN-ZZZZZ (15% off zombie-themed games)
If you choose to do it my referral link is: http://www.greenmangaming.com/?gmgr=dehaguna
The referral link gets both you and me 5 bucks off the next purchase. The first link is clean if you don't want to use the referral link.
Forgot to note: Dead Islands MP is buggy as fuck right now and supposedly they'll have it all fixed by Friday.

Not from Steam itself but Magicka is on sale @Amazon for $2.50 to be used through steam: http://www.amazon.com/Paradox-Intera...tag=slicinc-20
At least Portal is free again ;D
Mirror's Edge for five dorrah today.
big Sega sale on Steam right now until the 27th... Genesis/Dreamcast packs, Alpha Protocol $2, etc. other stuff I noticed was Alien vs Predator is $5 & Company of Heroes is $2.
i already had almost everything available but i grabbed Alpha Protocol, since it's $2
Is Alpha Protocol only really a gig?
funny, i was just thinking about that. on another deals website someone said the same thing, and i know i saw 1.1GB as well. when you first hit install in Steam it says 1.1GB, but it looks like it's actually 11GB (if you look on the download screen after you start it). i canceled it for now.
