Besides the HL series, any other "must haves" up there today? Considering the first Witcher, but I heard it wasn't that good and the second one is the one to go after. Unfortunately that would blow most of my entire sale budget in the first day. Looking more in the <$10 range.
Dungeons of Dredmor is decent for a laugh-and-a-half rogue-like.
Psychonauts worth getting if you're a fan of anything Tim Schafer, quality platformer with some of the most unique locations I've ever seen in the genre.
Anyone else having trouble logging into Steam btw? It'll tell me incorrect log-in even though my login/password hasn't changed.
it's almost noon and people are eating up the sales expect lag for a few hours.
Recettear 75% off!
how is that & the game it's paired up with? the only 2 i didn't know much about in today's sale.
I have not heard that many flattering things said about Chantelise. Recettear has a unique premise but it's weird enough that you may get bored of it quickly if you're not already the type who plays weird games just for the experience of the weird gameplay.
I found Recettear to be hilarious and addictive. Second-best indie game (after Amnesia) I've played in recent years. The premise is bizarre and sounds boring, but it's amusing as hell.
Chantelise was... meh. Still amusing, but it's short as hell and the difficulty curve is backwards. Kinda felt like a Recettear beta.
Well it came out before Recettear in Japan.
More coal.![]()
I have a Valve -50% off coupon if anyone wants it. I don't plan on buying anything :<
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Noobta/
I only realized when attempting to buy the HL complete set that we can't use the coupon until Jan 2nd. Makes it much less appealing <_<
Coal is good (it means an entry into the drawing per coal), I don't know why people are frowning over it. <_<
Because your odds of winning are so small, compared to just getting a free game (that you want) or a very reduced priced game via coupon =(.
Free The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, 1 Coal, and 33% Coupon for me so far .... buddy got 50% and Orcs Must Die so far
Got a 75% off on Torchlight (great game, already own it though) if anyone wants it. 50% off of a Valve title as well.
you only get daily gifts by doing the challenges right?
Looks that way. I did the Dredmoor one today, took like 10 minutes.
You can't use any of them before Jan. 2nd.
