Today is the last day of the sale correct or today just the last day that we're getting additional achievements? There are a few deals I'm going to jump on if this is all we're getting, but I don't want to jump too early.

Tomorrow is going to be the final day; probably some best deals sort of thing.

Today is the best deals day. Everything on sale today was on sale before. That and todays objectives read "Here are your final objectives.."

Pretty sure today is the last day, these sales will end tomorrow which is where the whole "through Jan. 1" comes from.

You're limited in the store/trading aspect until you buy something from the store, or get the game gifted.

I don't think so. They end objectives a day earlier because it takes people a while to do them. Tomorrow should be the "best of" deals day. Through Jan 1st means exactly that, the deals will last through Jan 1st and end Jan 2nd. At least this is how it's always been in previous sales.

11 lumps of coal (4 left) 3 50% of any valve game (traded one to a friend for the achievement) 1 25% of any valve game and 1 33% off any valve game. 50% off a game called RUSH, and 25% off of any deep silver game.
Damn. Not a use for any of these.

Ended up with 14 pieces of coal (none crafted), 7 coupons and 1 game (The Witcher: Enhanced Edition). Not too bad I don't think.

I was wondering why the last few days I had gotten nothing but coupons, coal, and hats.

in total:
17 coal
Orange Box x2
Space Empires V
Amnesia
Portal 2

It seemed to be a 20% chance to get a game for the first week. Then I went like 14 achievements without getting anything.

Isn't orange box the default steam gift? It was mine anyway, and I don't want it. If it's not your steam gift add arithil if you want me to give it to you.

Did anyone get any free games today? For some reason when I booted up Steam it started downloading the following:

Zombie Panic: Source
Age of Chivalry
DIPRIP Warm-Up
Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II
Dystopia

Never bought or heard of most of these...

Nope, I didn't get those when I logged in. However, I had a tab for Portal 2 in my inventory, so it got my hopes up..

I also have:
-33 and -25% Valve
-33% Valve Pack
-50% Eufloria

If anyone wants them on steam. Do you guys still have an extra Orange Box? I've wanted to try it for a long time. Oh and Happy New 2012!
