Pokemon Platinum

Haven't played a Pokemon game since Emerald, but I'm contemplating buying a DS for this one.

Anyone buy it that can give me a good review or info about it without comparing it to Pearl/Diamond, which I haven't played.

They fixed the Pokemon placement so you can actually get more then 2 fire types, as well as being able to get the new DP evo's without the national dex.

Surfing and battle text speed has been made FASTER.

This is awesome until you realize that they probably slowed it down in Diamond/Pearl just to get you to buy Platinum.

Anyway, if you like Pokemon, this upgrade is like all the others- a little bit better and a little bit different, but the same basic skeleton remains. The main game is not really anything you haven't seen before, but WiFi battling is def. fun. If you're going to get any DS version, get Platinum.

There's a bunch of differences from diamond/pearl. A few to add to this list is a chick will give you a togepi egg pretty early on. Articuno/Moltres/Zapdos are available in the game at some point. Someone supposedly gives you a Porygon. I got an Evee from someone that I'm pretty sure didnt in pearl unless I completely missed that before.

You can get both Palkia and Dialga in this version, which were the 2 legendary pokemon on the cover of diamond/pearl. There's a ton of new stuff really. My pokemon are only lv.25-30ish so far so I'm still pretty early in the game. I'd definitely recommend buying this one.

You do indeed get a Porygon, i forgot the n ame of the City, but its the same town you fight the Fighting Gym Battle in, and the same town you get "Fly" HM02.

It starts as level 25, i use it lol.

The game is fun, i just wish i could get a Bulbasaur Charmander and Squirtle ._. now

Today, I texted my boyfriend to see if he wanted to finally have sex today. His response was "Can't, Platinum just came out." I didn't know what that meant so I searched "Platinum 3-22-2009" on Google. I found out he's talking about a new Pokemon game. FML

O thats why I haven't gotten it yet. I'm taking my precious time progressing through the game cuz I jacked my exp share off of pearl (so I have two) and I'm lvling all my stuff evenly.
