Yes, this is a good idea
No, this idea would not work at all
This would work to an extent
voted no.
the problem is the people not the game.
Because 21-24hr mobs are COOL.
While this idea may slightly increase a non-botting claimers chance, bots would still have the upper hand. And to the "just ban the botters" idea, the only way this would be possible is if SE made a PunkBuster like thing, that has to be run along side the game to detect "illegal" processes running on the system, this won't happen as it would cost a lot and would greatly inconvenience players for awhile until SE adapted it for the player bases use of .dat mods, plugins, 3rd party programs like ApRader/Parsers/etc. that interact directly with the client.
HNMs are fine the way they are, if you can't stand being a Zone for 3hrs just to lose claim then don't do it. Sure playing a game without botters would be great, I just don't see SE doing anything that'll counteract them, properly.
Solution: ==warcup== makes you invincible.
lol, /kneel on pop time, would be hilariousOriginally Posted by Finalwolf

Post the cracked bot or shut the fuck up and get out.
without delayed claiming rules, JP's and those with better pings to ff servers would have an advantage
Make Faf pop anywhere in the boyhada tree, make KB pop anywhere in qufim, make Aspippop anywhere in terrigan. Solved.
The only problem I see with this is that there's a limit to how many people 1 spell can affect. You see this when you get a really crowded Nihogg, you could be standing right next to the mob and not get affected by hurricane wing. I assume it can only hit something like 64 players at a time.
Having random pop mobs is neat, things like the 3 kings, wyrms, and other mobs like Ixion, Worm, and the TAU mobs adds variety. Making these ??? pops would be kinda lame, affecting the ways you can claim to truly randomize which LS gets the mob is the way to go, and spawning with a AoE stun + Mild Damage is a really good way to go. It relies on who gets unstuned first, and kills of all those low level mules there to claim.
On another note, I wouldn't be too surprised if the naysayers/bashers in this thread rely on bots to play the game. It always amused me when people feel they have to cheat in order to play. Its like they gave up, instead of actually playing, they just use a bot and watch the game instead. If that's what you've reduced yourself to, just go watch tv instead... Congratulations you got your stuff, but you didn't earn it, and yet you find the ego to say that people that make threads like these are stupid. That's like a serial rapist thinking thier awesome because they can get laid any tine they want... We're all nerds playing a game, and the game ain't real life. But in the end, when you walk away, are you a cheat and a liar? Or are you a person of intergrity and patience?
^ I think this has a portion of the correct solution. Integrate Anti-Cheat software into FFXI, with a zero-tolerance strategy towards detection and banning of new bots as they appear. Make the risk too great for people to use bots. Right now? There's no risk to using a bot so people use them.
SE should just make Fafnir pop underground where you can't manually target him, and anyone that attempts anything on it, gets warped to mordion gaol and get the b&.
SMD AND CONTINUE TO SHUT THE FUCK UP.
EDIT: I also don't want to have my account stolen, thanks.
Give GMs the ability to spawn themselves with Fafhogg ID and everyone that attempts an action on the GM = instant perma-ban.
I think on Cerberus 4 people would be left....
You mean Alexander <_<.
If RMT started to dominate kings then SE would probably fix it. Since that's the leading reason they adjusted Despot and Ulli in sky then the money NMs (Archer King, O.Kote, Siren Hair NMs in SSG, etc.)
Like I said, forced pops can work. But you need to do it where you can only limit a LS doing it so many times. I was thinking of a system where you get the pop item from a BCNM and the entry rules would be like an avatar battle where everyone would need the key item to enter. And you can only attempt the BCNM 3 times per conquest talley.
I believe a system like this it'd work with some tweaking, mainly abjurations since if they kept drops the same ppl would be spamming the f*ck out of Fafnir.
You do realize the RMTers are the playerbase selling gil? At least that's what it seems like. I barely see RMTs anywhere.
