For blm, it's 320/120. What about for DD?
How much skills/Dex/Accuracy do we need for endgame meleeable mobs?

lol, it doesn't work like that considering each mob will have it's own evasion rating ect and gl getting a enough dex for a decent crit rate, ect
Proof that mages shouldn't level melee jobs.
I'll be constructive and say you should aim for about 400 total accuracy on Greater Colibri and about 430 for mamools, trolls slightly less. Inb4 not capped acc but I'm not saying you have to be for merit mobs if itsacrifices haste or what not. Also make sure to carry goodies like Ohat and Life Belt, Cuchulain's/settler's if you can, for an Accuracy set for Lurker's/Iniltrators/MNK andmore so PUP trolls.
320/120 isnt even a magic number for BLMs considering every mob have diffrent stats etc lol.
For melee I consider 400 acc while maximizing haste being top ( gets you roughly 85% acc with meat at MMJ meripos)/ Typically my monk and sam have 390, thf ninja 370.
Aye, 410 accuracy to be capped on Colibri, following the skill-above-200-is-.9-accuracy assumption.
Forgive me for asking but, would someone mind going into more detail? How are you arriving at the number 400? as in formulaically. I'm guessing a certain weapon skill level, but also acc gear, food, madrigal?
Further, i dont' play on blm much,... guessing 320 is ele skill, and 120 is...int?
For the DRG I'm currently meriting on, for instance:
ACC = 200 (skill) + .9 * 84 (skill over 200) + .75 * 88 (DEX) + 33 (gear) + 22 (traits) + 10 (hasso). Not getting any ACC songs or rolls. Therefore, I have 406.6 ACC, floored to 406.
For those wondering, yes, my DRG is terribly gimped (well, realistically, not so good). 15% haste in gear only, and no Love Torque/Love Halberd/Homam pants/feet/hands. First time I'm touching it since I dinged 75 on it. LS mate wanted angon 'cause other 2 melee were awesome and Angon on Wivre is pro.
And yes, 320 elemental skill paired with 120 INT is a minimize-resist aim on HNM.
6 is the magic number (6 hit build)
Three, oh three. It's the magic number.
88 dex wtf, are you a Mithra? >.>
Probably DEX merits.
Parse yourself.
Adjust accordingly.
50 dex over mob's agi = +~16% Crit rate
40 ACC more than a mob's total EVA (taking into account level correction) = 95% Hit rate
Ratio = your (r)atk/monster defense
Melee cRatio = Ratio - 0.050 x level difference
Ranged cRatio = Ratio - 0.025 x level difference
cRatio = 2.0 is the cap, you gain 1.0 cRatio on Crits with a cap of 3.0
Your lucky numbers are 3,7,8,12,15,33
50 dDEX is 20% base crit rate, which is a 15% increase from 10 dDEX or less. Base is 5%, always. Merits come on top of that, as does something like Destroyers' crit.
Yeah, Mithra with DEX merits here. Still, 88 isn't that high. 77 base, 5 rajas, 3 aurum (no homam yet), 1 minuet earring, 2 thalassocrat. With love halberd/torque, Hecatomb hands/feet, warwolf belt, aurum cuirass I could easily ding 50 dDEX for Drakesbane.
400ish would seem to be the consensus for Greater Colibri, but it seems only a few jobs could hit this, Drg being one of them due to 2H and Accuracy Bonus II. Ranger would be another. Seems wars (Axe), nin, thf, monk, etc are left out in the cold trying to hit this number without spamming sushi, or sacrificing haste gear (W.Turban) for O. Hat, Potent, N. Kote. Take my ninja for example (apologies, math is not my forte).
Ninja Accuracy
276 skill Acc (+16 from merits, after +200 skill adjustment adjustment penalty)
10 PCC
12 Nin AF2
5 Ring
5 Perdu Blade
38 DEX (Mithra, 75nin/37war)
7 Acc from B.'s Haidate
2 Acc from Rajas Ring's DEX
3 Swift Belt
-----------------------------
356 Accuracy
This would make a case for madrigal/minuet to help hit 400.
Also, is there a magic number for Attack? Does attack cap somewhere on Greater Colibri?
