Oh ok, I forgot that USA Today is clearly 100% fact and the definitive word on everything.

What a silly polarizing topic. I've never been distracted by HID headlights. I don't have a car with them, and I could really care less if anyone else has them. I've never been bothered by them.
I am completely satisfied with this thread. Thanks for the tips. Check your PMs please booly.
Whenever i get a fucker that blinds me with those lights, and i mean BLIND to the point i cant see the road, i slow down to a crawl and force them to go around. Im not driving with one of those shithead behind me, im sorry. Probably the reason no reports have been made of accidents caused by the glare are because the people either always slowed down to avoid crashing, or met a fatal accident and was unable to report they died from a jackass.
I'll tell you what the light that is emitted from my father's Acura is not nearly as bright as ALL the HID converted lights in NYC. I really don't care if people get them because if someone gets behind me with them I'll just jam on the breaks until they move. The headlights from Acuras and the like are specially designed to house those bulbs and like someone said early are properly installed to be brighter without being blinding.
If you've ever tried to replace headlights on a car like an Acura, it's incredibly expensive and a $70 conversion kit can't possibly be as safe as the 3-400 buck headlights that come standard on most Acuras. Oh and all the cars my family owns has tinted windows so light is already reduced and I still get problems from those lights.
XENON EXPERT
a kit will come with a harness, ballasts and bulbs and instructions
Side note the japanese Volt kits are typically better quality, stick to 4000-4500 for best light output
Who gives a shit if you're satisfied with this thread. I hope you fucking choke on your new lights.
I live in Los Angeles and I have a decent length commute to and from the office. Here, lots of drivers have chosen to equip their vehicles with these hazards. I can usually deal with the oncoming lights because they pass pretty quickly. But when one of you HID cocksuckers gets behind me on the freeway, especially one with a pickup truck, I am forced to alter my driving posture in order to avoid being blinded through my sideview mirror. This has, on more than one occasion, resulted in retributive action on my part.
Beautiful.
I work and live in LA. I'm glad our freeways are not single laned. If these "HID cocksuckers" get behind me then I can bear with it or move aside. Thankfully, my car sit incredibly low to the ground so I rarely/never ever get blinded by these lights. Retributive action? LOL, ok buddy.
Let's get something straight here. I'm most assuredly NOT trying to get anyone to share my point of view. I'm simply expressing it.
As for driving a car that's low to the ground, what the fuck are you talking about? I drive a Camaro. Low slung cars have a BIGGER problem with trucks or SUVs following.
Dude, now you're just being a pussy. I don't know how you have your car set up but if your camaro is lowered it wouldnt even be bothered by the regular beams of the modern day truck(silverado, f-150, tundra etc.). If anything it would be the fog lights that get ya. Now if you're going to QQ about someone's FOG LIGHTS blinding you, then I suggest you look into trading in your man card and relying on public transportation.

The troll effectiveness in this thread is amazing.
Also, I have bigger problems with Hummers and raised trucks/SUVs more so than the HIDs (although annoying). When being tailgated, waiting at a stop light, or being followed witihin 15-20ft, their low-beams shine perfectly into my rear-view/side view. Now, the rear-view is easily adjusted, but the side view is a serious problem.
When on a multi-lane road/highway, I am constantly using my rear/side view, like most people should be. Now, the excuse "yield to the blinding guy behind you" does not make this transition safe. The flooding light from the side mirrors (varies, depending on the orientation of the vehicle behind me) makes it very hard to distinguish if there is a car oncoming from the other lane. Checking blind spot isn't a problem, usually.
HIDs can cause this problem, but I don't see it often (it's usually the crappy modded Hondas or Acuras with a donut spare and off-color paint jobs that give me problems).
The same problems I described above can be applied to lowered vehicles.
Kinda sad most everyone on here is too poor to afford automated side mirrors. With just a push of a button i can reflect any beam right back at the "offender". If you can't do that while driving then rely on mass transit. Obviously, cars are too much for you.
Obviously, sarcasm is too much for your Keeaboo(do you observe what action i just took?) ass.
With the trash you had been posting these last couple pages, I wasn't aware your last post could even be considered sarcasm. My mistake for falling bait to your trollness.
Yeah I have to be honest I didn't even get a hint of sarcasm until you told me about it, usually I'm really good at that kind of thing too =/
