Whenever you're not running
Whenever you're not running
When you're clueless as to not know when to use them.
God damn.
This is why I get mod warnings every week from posting in this section.
Use mahatma for enfeebles and cures, nashira for haste cycle and enfeebling magic build, and red legs for vert macro and running.
Fuck. Afk hitting something.
dont spend so much time reading BS babe, get mad about something real and kill the bastards. paedophiles for example.
edit: also, why even open a topic like this when you already know its going to get you as angry as you seem to be?.... i mean the question was in the subject, no one is asking for your specific input, just be nice fella, lifes too short.
Right. Judging from some of the responses in the topic, I asked a pretty patently stupid question. Thanks for the replies. Feel free to disregard the topic now.
wtf? It's RED mage, fulltime the fuckers
I use them to stand in. I'd rather not have to hit a macro before i start running.
Beyond Crimson legs, the only things you might need that you didnt mention in your post are decent mnd/int legs, and an HMP piece.
Aside from whatwas mentioned in the OP, you can look at baron's slops as a cheap HMP piece and Jet Seraweels as the stylish choice for int/mnd, without the negative stat(which don't really matter anyways, I just use them because they look sexy)
EDIT: Use seraweels/mahatma/morr. slops for MND-based enfeebles, always. Nashira legs are good for timers on refresh, haste, utsusemi; along with lowering your resist rate on INT-based enfeebles. I can't stress this enough, only use nashira legs on bind/grav/blind/whateevr other useless int-based enfeeb you can think of.
As the OP can tell by this point, Crimson Cuisses are used for running/resist/MP+. When he said "main set" I trust he meant his RDM idle/run gear.
But in regards to Cyr's response... I'd say it is never appropriate to wear Jet Seraweels. Especially on the servers where Mahatma are less expensive. Why spend the money on Jet at all?
Well, better to ask than blithely go about casting in w.legs.Wait, why did I respond at all >_>
^ on seraweels, i almost raged, but held myself back
not at all. this is what this forum is for. you ask questions, you get answers, you learn answers, you get better, you answer someone else's question. as long as your question isn't something that's been asked a dozen times before or is in a wiki page somewhere, you're doing it right.
God, please stop idling in these Red Mages! It's painfully annoying to see people getting intimidated by Bahamut's Mask.
Shaddix nailed it. Stand in them, never cast in them. They're ok to idle in, but if you do, you better not be using your idle set for buffs or cures.
Double post.
WLeg are great standing and kiting gear. They have good resistance, hp and defenses, make it ideal for standing/kiting, and when you know you are going to get hit. Other than that, it offers 0 casting boost. In fact, it is gives you a paralyze debuff when sleeping demons and curing DRG. Don't cast on wleg unless you are also kiting.
The best cheapest/easy-to-get alternative are Jet and Mah legs. Mah is best for casting (8int 8mnd), but if you are pulling or solo, Jet without the -vit, -str, and -dex would be better. I personally used Jet before i got Morrigan.
The best legs for RDM imo is Morrigan. It is not easy to get however, but you should aim for getting this. This is the best nuking and enfee leg in general.
For spamming refresh and haste, Nash 2% haste is good. Nash also offer the best macc (5enf + 3macc), but it doesn't gives any mnd or int, which makes your debuff less potent if you use it. Nash leg is also good for melee with 2% haste, although, I sometimes use hydra for its 10acc.
For resting, yigit 2hmp is useful and easy to get from assault.
One leg that is often overlooked is AF2 from Dyn Jeuno. It offers the most ems for nuking, but doesn't offer any dmg. It is good if you must nuke on HNM, although, those fights, you would probably be asked to cure than to nuke. I don't carry my AF2 legs on me usually.
In summary, I would suggest you buy a Jet or Mah leg.
Corvi
RDM75 for 4yrs.
full merit. 5/5 Morrigan, 6/6 Duelist
I wore w.legs 99% of the time last Xarc, with the exception of the big wall near dragons and one other pull where I was casting sleep.
And it didn't even matter.
I had a separate macro to switch out w.legs with jets. I was pretty good about switching them out, but if I got lazy, fuck it. As Demo said, it's RDM. Not going to kill you to have them on. Anyone bishes say you were running around trying to cure people...>.>;
