My friend is on it, but I can;t get on. that fuck
Goddammit, I should've done that![]()
Tell your friend to host it somewhere!
were all the Items loaded on pageload or were they called via Ajax? because I can't think of how you would be able to use the offline version w/o pulling the data for the items(most likely a db of info or XML file(s).
How do you do that anyways (In general)?
Can't the creator just make it an application for us? Seeing as he had no adds anyway
That works if you'd like to save a static copy of the page as it was when it first loaded. People in this thread were implying that someone had saved an entire web application so that it could be used offline, just as it worked on the site. That's not possible, unless the whole thing is pure javascript.
Is there really no one who can quickly whip up another version of this?
Or perhaps the OP could get in contact with his LS mate and have him post the code or simply host it on a more reliable free source?
Seriously we need the best people working on this right now, FFXIGear was godlike. How the hell am I supposed to do on the fly convert setups for a perfect ratio?
FFXIAH is great for keeping track of all your sets once you've built them with FFXIGear, but its just too slow, clunky, and basic. I mean it can't even put my X's knife in the right slot.
Jeez louise... for the love of God people just use this:
FFXIEQ
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person that knows about this program...
For those of you who can't use it /comfort
Japanese ftl, I can't read it![]()
If the OP is interested I might be able to find somewhere to host the site or convert it to an exe, I've been looking for an excuse to make a console ap, I would most likely use some sort of xml or something of the sort to store the local copy and possibly host new versions for downloading/updating, hell I should just do this myself just getting all the data would be a pita. Anyone know where I can get all the gear with stats in a condensed form?
I really have no desire for ffxigear.com transferred into an .exe unless it can store sets to a temp url you can post on the forums. The best part about ffxigear.com for me was to discuss gear sets on the forums and being able to link the set instead of pasting a windower macro with no stats shown.
I wouldn't link the program if it wasn't in ENG >_> (both ENG/JP via an option on the menu)
Also it's the other way around (program came out before site)
I can understand the whole convenience of the sharing aspect but I thought people would use it for the actual function more. If the site didn't have the "share URL" feature I'd assume the next best (and easiest) way would be to just SS and share the pic. That's not really that hard if you want to share your sets.
Does that program have all the gear that came out since the 2008 date listed on the site? If not...kinda useless still.
