Bahaha, crazy guy was right. Melee RDM ftw.
For the BLM update they're turning this shit up to 11.
so....What is wrong with BLM again...?
BLM has been touched less then a quadruple amputee hermaphrite that has hair all over its body and smells and looks like a pile of dinosaur poo. MNK has seen more updates.
I cant wait for the BLU update on Friday!
Am I doing this right?
Hello, I'm Old Greg.
I like your update. . .
The SMN adjustments, while good and useful, do nothing to fix the job and that makes me sad.
I really don't want to finish WHM.
I'm sad that there's no change to hasso/seigan for non-ninjitsu casts. It'd be night and day to not have a cast-speed penalty on DRK when subbing SAM and using hasso/seigan.
Hasn't gotten any enhancements (besides merits all jobs got) since before NA launch, has gotten annoying nerfs, not wanted in parties, not wanted/not very good for most newer endgame events, outclassed by SCH in many situations, MAB trait is fucked up and you get 5/8 of it at level 10, constantly dealing with idiots who couldn't get their melee job a 7k/hr party in 2004 and think that justifies never throwing BLM a bone ever again.
BLM and NIN need something, ffs...
At worst, Composure cannot be canceled - or if it is clicked off the existing spell durations are reset.
At best, Composure merely counters Fast Cast (and perhaps Artifact+Relic) boosts to recast.
"Increases accuracy" should be equivalent to a boost given to a melee job. Hasso is +10. Focus is +20. Aggressor is +25. Perhaps we will see some "enhances Composure" gear!
From the wording of "a recast time penalty upon all magic, songs, and ninjutsu" it is the same as Hasso: 50% penalty. So with Haste spell, Tabard+Chapeau we'll still get a +15% recast penalty, before Haste gear.
That's horrible for Utsusemi, but what else is new?
Realistically, the update is soon, and we can see how it goes.
Once my knee-jerk "Square doesn't understand RDM dammit" reaction was out of the way, my only problem with this RDM update is that it isn't something better suited to making the job tactically interesting.
Don't forget the usual image macro (imageshack being odd)
Spoiler: show
And this is why all RDMs are complaining about a new "melee stance". It's not game-changing, but it's not interesting either. It runs counter to how RDM (solo) melee is played, with DoT magic damage and super-low Utsusemi cast/recast times.
They're fixing some game mechanic issues on Summoner, that's nice.
Whatever, I'm going back to testing 2-handed weapon cRatio tiers. Because I know which side my bread is buttered on.
The math side.
.Opportunity cost or economic opportunity loss is the value of the next best alternative foregone as the result of making a decision.[1] Opportunity cost analysis is an important part of a company's decision-making processes but is not treated as an actual cost in any financial statement.[2] The next best thing that a person can engage in is referred to as the opportunity cost of doing the best thing and ignoring the next best thing to be done.
