except for the fact that AV's zerg is a souleater resistance which has been in play for einherjar and is nothing new rather than a revamp to the entire enspell system.
I believe thats why you only have 50 posts
edit: that was a little too mean on my part i guess ;o
word of advice, when you try to be a smart ass about something make sure you have your facts straight.
hate to say it but.... in all my times as a sleeper as either blm or rdm at events like dynamis or something else... I do feel that sleep2 is more accurate than sleep1. that being said, I have no proof and have no intentions on going out and testing it, but even if it's slight m.acc increase, i've definitely noticed it. i even recall people bringing this up on some thread in standard like a year ago.
I seriously just stoped after the parser was shown, is there another word for being More then in serious denial? it's like the horse died...and his body is decomposing..you can even see the maggots..but you are still poking it saying wake up...lol..
i still cant believe people are defending the melee rdm for HNM+EXP party as i said your either retarded or out of your mind. yes rdm started as melee mage but changed to supporter and if you MUST melee as mage play Blue it has access to better gear+spells+DD
That was the most epic thread I have read in a long time. I'm not even sure if they make blinders that big anymore, it was incredible!
You can't just bash all RDM's based on what appears on KI.
I'll repeat again, if En II's do like 80 unresisted damage per attack round (and are magically somehow different so they don't resist on anything over level 80) then hell yeah I expect an HNM melee spot. Not a chance in hell it happens, but if soooo..... :D
RDM/RNG with a kclub and that bow you unlock with ws points (Expunger?) that has a full enhancing, haste, and sidewinder ws set is actually not half bad on birds. (only downside its really hard to parse the additional damage since it hits so fast gets misparsed quite often) I'd rather take a RDM I know than a random melee. However is it effective per gil spent? no its really not but if people want to main only rdm and do crazy stunts like that why not let em. After this patch though kclub enspell rdm wont be viable, or it'll only apply to the tier II spells and not entirely revamp the system.
LOL @Wrish noob
What the hell did I just read? Wrish just gave me the worst rage moment ever. Can't believe it made it past 1 page, let alone SEVENTEEN.
some folks live to troll, its hard to tell whether they're for real or not
Allow me to turn the attention to the SMN part of the update, just for a small time...
After hearing about the upgrades to the merit BPs, I really wanted to test out 5/5 Meteor Strike that I just got tonight. Although these are far from complete tests, it's honestly just to give it a spin.

5/5 Meteor Strike
4/5 Avatar Magic Attack Bonus
Because I assaulted first then did the BP, I'd say Ifrit had about 240-250TP for the most part.
The first three were done on Firesday, but the rest were done on Earthsday. For the most part, the accuracy is actually pretty consistent (except for that damn 1/2 resist).
And just to compare with the ever popular Predator Claws:

I didn't get to finish testing because a merit party came to camp in my spot, so I left before finishing more tests.
Meteor Strike 182 MP
Predator Claws 164 MP
So Meteor Strike is 18 more MP compared to Predator Claws. The results really aren't that bad! I mean obviously I need to test this a lot more to make it any where near credible but it's a start, right? I basically kept striking the same Philosopher for a while... though it's difficulty may have changed when I zoned it. But I apologize, and I hope it still offers at least a glance.
If I had 5/5 Magic Attack Bonus, I'd probably hit about 1000 DMG with Meteor Strike.
Now, I don't know how much more they're doing to boost the merit BPs... but I'm hoping for a good damage difference! Well, hoping. Even if it's only something like an extra 200 DMG, it really helps the damage/mp ratio that much more.
I hope my tests will maybe shed a bit of light on the merit BPs just a bit. Once again, I'm sorry I couldn't test on something a little harder.
Well the most unique thing about the group 2 BPs are
#1 They are Magical.
#2 they are ranged i'd hope a SMN is smart enough to know how well this helps for those "Omg it won't stop running!" excuse battles
#3 it goes thru shadows, this may not be much of a benefit, but it's great hitting a nin mob or whatever has blink/etc to take full damage instead of taking a shadow.
when i learned all this, i never expected them to be powerful just for those above reason, i am very curious to see how much stronger they can make them, because if they are equal or near equal to the 70 BPS but on a magical sense, then that may just give me a smile. i don't know about 5/5 on any tho o_O i may do 2 at the most cause i like having them all
Because i simply laugh at the Tier IV nukes, i remember being all happy when i 1st got them at level 60 thinking i learn them faster then a BLM! then BAM! they did less then a Tier 3..
as is, before this patch, my 2/5 windblade with 1/5 matk did exactly 300 damage to tiamat, apposed to the 400-500+ my predator claws did with 4/5 acc 5/5 atk. if it is a noticeable boost to damage, i will probably end up swapping to 5/5 atk, 5/5 matk and capping two group 2 pacts.
The bloodpacts being magical is exactly why they suck. Over half of the mobs at endgame have some degree of magical resistance while only a small handful have physical resistance.
That's why Diabolos is a great back up, because he seems to ingore any resistance, unless they have a direct darkness based resistance or some kind of Magic Damage -
Speaking of which....
WHY CAN'T HE GET A FANCY NEW BP?? i do recall him having an ability he used in his prime fight that they could have givin him...i don't recall the name tho.
And of course, the shits and giggles shot:

This was just with 240-250ish TP I think.
Without MB, it was actually doing pretty much the same damage against the Mamool Ja Philosopher I tested on earlier (960~ dmg)... just to put that out there.
Rather they increase the magical accuracy but who knows...
Speaking of these job adjustment notes, did anyone bother to see what they are being said in other languages? Maybe something more accurate or clear (as they like to do in the JPN version for one thing)
