My QD setup :3 - - FFXIAH.com

Its pretty easy to blink out of most abilities or spells that are near instant cast. What I try to do is macro in some random equipment as the first line of the macro, second line starts the spell. Put /wait 1 and then macro in whatever you normally wear. You should be blinking so much (unless you have a very nice computer unlike me ) that you won't see yourself for the whole cast.

I rarely use my full QD setup lately and I'm too lazy to try a uggly pendant.

My QD build is nearly "complete". I'm still not sold that M.Acc is as good/better than AGI so for the time being I use purely MAB and AGI.

When I'm /WHM I don't bother using Uggy; I probably *should* hit a macro to dump my MP but I just haven't gotten around to it.

I kite him inside the square on this map:

He's not too hard, just keep moving and blink when you Quickdraw and you'll be fine. Only tough part is when he lays bombs since if he runs far enough he can have the rats link. And a possible deaggro.

COR/NIN is pretty helpful since in case he gets in melee range shadows can be nice so you don't get hit too hard with triple attack. And having enemies on radar can help.

Thanks, I solo'ed him just now. I did /rdm for Bio II. Sped up the fight a bit. Whole thing took maybe 40min. One Pro II and then some. Was pretty easy, ran away once but was pretty easy to dodge links by camping the door and running around the loop once mobs started rushing me.

Fuck, I'd be happy with Commodore Gants so I can ditch the Mage's Cuffs. Took me over 20 synths to get my Corsair's Gun +1 so have fun; it'll take you the rest of your life to sell off the NQs you get. -_-

To prevent JA lock, how does your macro look?

I did it like:

/equip main "Aqulio's staff"
/ja "Ice Shot" <t>
/wait 1
/equip main

But I still sometimes get stuck standing still in the animation. It's about 25% lock, 75% no lock.

Are you using game macros or windower? Game macros suck and just randomly don't fire correctly, lol.

I never ever use /wait 1 /equip default gear. Just make a separate macro for default gear.

I've been trying this a few times and at the Southeast turn around i'll occasionally get hit by a Thundaga which completely wipes me.

Been going /nin, which doesn't give any access to shell. Have people who had success used NIN as subjob?

Much appreciated...I'm WW 100 so its a good practice mob for me since pop items are easy to come by. I've only recently hit COR 75 so using it as a good guage for others.

for gration kite it around the fences near riverne. basically stay on the outside of the fence, but on the north part (kiting counter clock-wise) go around the little shack, and cut past the fence on the SW side, and go right back around to the next one to the SE.

kiting it like that it's very easy to avoid every thundaga. hell, i don't even bother using rr or stoneskin, and usually don't even top my hp off when i solo it on rdm. as long as you don't stand still for any reason there's really no reason you should get hit by it's thundaga.

getting trapped somewhere you can't run out of range can potentially be a problem, but it's easy to avoid that by stopping and letting him start casting at a spot where you know you will be able to outrun it, that way he won't cast while you're in the back with no room to run.

you absolutely need /nin. he pretty much uses grand slam almost every single time after he deaggros and you reclaim him, and without shadows it hits extremely hard.

I've done it NIN/RDM. I kite it around the bridge going to Sacrarium. Normally I kill the gigas on the way there or have someone train them for me. Depending how far ahead you get sometimes it will go under the bridge, if it does this just run a wider circle.

I don't get why people sacrifice AGI for M.Acc? M.Acc has never been proven to affect QD acc and why use an Elemental Grip over Wise Strap?

Me and a rdm friend duo'd genbu the other day to try and get him a shield, no drop tho ; ; Anyway my rdm friend asked for warlocks so he could nuke properly, lolelvaan, without warlocks up i was gettin a 50% resist rate, constant 120s, anytime i put warlocks on i never got resisted, 240s, not even once. Now this is far from proof but before totally negating macc > agi perhalps you should try it.
