I can't be too mad at them, they have been working on The Breaker for a long time and their reasoning for taking a break makes sense. As much as I'd prefer they finish The Breaker, if trying out new things helps them come back to this refreshed it should be a great ending.

So Feng Shen Ji is finally over. It has been a fantastic ride and one for the ages. It's only 185 chapters deep but each chapter is about 25-30 pages strong. Full color, beautiful art work each chapter, near perfect English Translation courtesy of EasyGoing Scans (their projects are always top notch IMHO) and lots of depth to keep you reading through.

I highly recommend this if you love fantasy/drama/martial arts manga.

As the individual who originally recommended the manga in this thread, I'm going to strongly miss it. Amazing story with amazing art. Was an extremely fun ride all the way to the end with minimal a dull moment. The ending even offering an olive branch should the author decide to continue it down the road. Highly recommend this manga for those who never took it up.

After reading Feng Shen Ji, I found the world of Chinese translated novels like this. So I guess if anyone likes these kinds of story's look up wuxia novels.

God damn. Another amazing series comes to an end. The laughs, feels, and brutality of this manga were so extreme at times but always cleverly woven together. With so much having come to an end in the last year or so, it's getting harder and harder to find manga of this quality.

I wasn't disappointed at all with the ending. It's classic Sun Ken. He never once let hate take over as the motivation for his actions. It was the same against Ban Phuong, it was the same against Tae-Soo, and it was the same even against Yumi's father. It was the running theme on why everyone felt compelled to follow him. He was a genuinely good person with the strength necessary to change the world for the better good. The ending successfully made me already miss Sun Ken as the individual.

Speaking of Chihayafuru (not so random bump), there's supposedly a big announcement to come with the release of volume 32. Lotta people are praying and hoping it's a 3rd season (myself included). If anyone wants a latest chapter 168 (I think 168) spoiler (bad engrish warning):

Teacher remember what Arata said (about him not joining the individual tournament and just support his teammates) so he's wondering what made Arata said such a thing. whether he;s frustrated about losing to that pretty girl (Chihaya) or because their team lost.
Everyone's surprised because Arata and Shinobu are not too strong this year unlike last year.
Yoroshiko is scared and then he remember about what happened to his match with Hyoro
Nishida saw Chihaya and looking at her you can see that she is putting up a good fight.
Then he remember what Chihaya said about Taichi coming back so for the meantime she will become the Queen and make Mizusawa a karuta powerhouse like Hokuo and then he thought "so she will have to become the Queen first,does that mean it will be easier to beat Wakamiya than to make Mizusawa into a karuta powerhouse". But then he thought that if someday, Mizusawa became a karuta powerhouse then he'll also become one of it's foundations. Then he took the next card. Nishida made a call and Chihaya heard it, so Shinobu got annoyed.
Rion also made a team call and Yoroshiko heard it which annoyed Shinobu even more.

Murao stopped them because it's an individual game not team matches.
Shinobu's kimono is so heavy that it's so hard to move.
She tried putting on Tasuki but she doesn't know how so Chihaya offered to help her.
Shinobu won and said that Chihaya is strong but too bad the high school competition is over and she hope there will be next time, Chihaya said there is next time, in Queen Tournament.

In response, Shinobu makes this face

Season 3 please! I've almost caved a few times and just picked up the manga, I'll probably have to after season 3 since if they make a season 4 it will probably be a very long time off. >.>
