Anyone reading Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari/The Rising of the Shield Hero? There's 26 chapters of the manga out atm and I ended up really liking the premise, so over the last week or so I binge read the entire original Web Novel of it, and I know there's large differences between the WN and the LN/Manga, but the overall plot seems like it'll be remaining the same.

Honestly I have to say I don't think i've enjoyed a story so much in a long time, it was refreshing to have a main character acting to save the world for reasons other then "It's the right thing to do cause i'm a Hero!" and by the end of the WN there wasn't a single one of the main cast I didn't come to love, I loved all of them, and even the ending left me wholly satisfied with the outcome, for anyone interested apparently the LN and WN are the same up until around volume 4 of the LN and then the stories start to largely seperate, but just based on things that have/are happening I think the overall story will end in the same way, which makes me happy :D

I was enjoying it a lot when I got caught up to chapter 26.

This is where I read the WN, I haven't started the LN yet but when I find a good place to read those I can either post it here or PM you, the stories are apparently distict enough after volume 4 of the LN to make both worth reading.

Fuck!!! I was literally yelling at the phone. I also feel it's part Takamura's fault. In his pseudo guidance with don't cross this line, he planted a heavy seed of doubt and destruction.

I almost seem to think they are trying to set Takamura up into a bit of a villain. I could see some sort of climax where he and Ippo spar to settle things.

Ippo would get wrecked. I doubt that would happen. Takamura is a heavy weight man to ippos feather weight lol. I'm getting tired of how much the author drags ippo through the mud in like the last 5-6 fights or so he's had.

Not even worthy to call fights. All barely spars. But if this redemption circle jerk pays off big then it'll be all worth it. He's getting built-up, to me, to be some beta male underdog whom will later turn alpha as fuck.
