I mean, it was funny and charming at first, but what's sad is that saying it's been like that for 25 years is really not an exaggeration at all lol. Manga is approaching 27 years of publication and she was introduced in chapter 36 (aka, within the first year of publication). We're at chapter 1152 now. In 1116 chapters, their relationship has moved from them meeting each other to them both liking each other but neither having the courage to say anything. 1116 CHAPTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! 26 FUCKING YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started reading Akame ga Kill. It seems I may have picked a good time to pick it up. The final chapters may be on the horizon.
The page I'm reading them from seems to only have a release once a month though. I guess I'm stuck waiting for more.

Why is Kuroko no Basket so popular? Is it Slam Dunk levels of good?

Also, been looking at Vagabond... also from the author of Slam Dunk. Any opinions on that? I'm naturally attracted to it purely because it's made by the same author, but I don't particularly like Japanese history, but was wondering if there's little candies in there that kept it going for 37 volumes and ongoing.

Vagabond is great. It gets kind of slow at times but I still find it pretty interesting. Alot of introspective stuff as Musashi tries to figure himself out. The manga hasn't been updated for a long time though. I'm not sure if that's because no one is scanlating it anymore or if the author has been on indefinite hiatus.

I'm not sure what to think of how God of Highschool has been doing lately. It seems like it's going to wrap up with this story arc, but we'll have to see.

That's a series that started one way and completely went LEFT! I was originally all in when it was a high school competition but then gods, terrible mythology and summons came into play. I'll try it again when it wraps up

I think Takamura is the true test here. Ippo may be scaling upwards in power but he's still as yet to mentally step into the boxing world. When he does though, he'll finally cross that line Takamura set and hopefully, this is the fan in me, we may even see a sparring match between the two as confirmation.

Anyone reading Demon's Plan? Cliche as FUCK but I'm going to give it a shot until its first arc is done. If it gets stupid after it then I'm dropping it because it's getting by the books early.

Getting too many naruto vs sasuke vibes just with boro wanting to get carlos back...

I saw it posted on mangastream and was curious about it. I take it it's a new jump manga? After reading Bakuman, I can't help but read any new manga with an eye of "they're pulling out certain moves, story choices, etc, etc, in order to insure readership and not get canned after 10 chapters".

So yeah, I think waiting on the 2nd arc and seeing how that goes will be a more accurate indicator of what kind of manga you're in for

Despite the fact that Mangafox stopped showing me manga years ago, I always kept a tab open. They had the best search engine for tags and when a new release or a manga updated with that tag, you could easily see it. Today I refreshed and it turned into the same bullshit every other manga site has. You cant see when each manga was last updated and theres no sort by date option. It's only sorted by ranking. It's so useless.

So are there any good ones out there? Manga updates is good for finding new manga in general, but misses a lot of tag stuff and also doesn't tell you if chapter X of manga Y just came out.
