I think Mashiro was sitting with the other writers and such based on his discussion with Hattori(sp). Azuki looked like she was sitting with Aoki, and away from the other guys. Yeah, that's just like them since they don't want to 'see each other before their goals become a reality' Also, they didn't really solidly confirm their 'confiding in each other' until the whole Iwase/Takagi/Aoki thing happened, if you remember.

As far as Takagi goes.. yeah, it is a pretty big change with how things have gone with his character. Went from 'who is she' to 'we're married now'.. I guess five years for a character can do that. I like both of em though.. and Kaya's too cute, Haha. A shame Mashiro had to go and have a huge outburst during their wedding party. Both Takagi and Mashiro seem pretty stressed out about the current manga, and from what I can tell.. if you're truly having fun with your manga, you don't have these kind of stressful situations. I hope they drop Tanto quick.

mashiro/azuki have confided in each other a few timed before the iwase incident; before the relaese of trap, when mashiro and takagi were "split" and when azuki was dealing with the photobook thing, to name a few. The only problems between them during the Iwase incident was a misunderstanding: Mashiro didn't feel like it was his place to talk about Takagi's problems, Azuki took that as a lack of trust.

Either way, it really wasn't a "monumental" chapter for the two fo them imo, which was my point. I'd even say that since the hospital arc, nothing has really gone on between Mashiro/Azuki; this current arc has mainly been about Takagi/Kaya. Most noticibly in the last 3-4 chapters, between Takagi telling Iwase about his feelings for Kaya, the proposal, and most importantly (imo) his realization that he wants to succeed as a mangaka not for his original motives, but to provide a good life for Kaya. Which is why the current troubles with Tanto have been so rough on him, he knows he's over his head but he won't give up because of his feelings of duty to Kaya.

Yeah, I suppose that's true. I guess I said monumental because Azuki said the whole 'I love you' thing, and that's a rarity in manga these days. That's what surprised me.

As far as Takagi/Kaya, you're absolutely correct. The growth both of them have gone through is massive, though Takagi is probably a bit ahead of Kaya seeing as she still has that jealous streak in her. Then again.. it did look kind of bad with a 'love note' sent to Takagi from Iwase, and adding onto the long phone calls.

This fight is still annoying as fuck, but a least something is starting to happen now, even if it looks like Ippo is going to lose. I'm glad he was able to actually throw one good punch even if it didn't land clean at this point. I really can't imagine how this could be a set up for him to pull out a win.
