I wonder if this is just a dramatic retelling of the two making the manga.

I also wonder if once Bakuman ends if they'll end up using an idea from it for their next series.
You know, I thought about that. And really, this manga is a huuuge turn from Death Note. I swear of one of the characters find a Death Note and start killing people.. I'm gonna scream, rofl.

But yeah, I thought maybe it was a dramatic retelling or something. Would be neat.

What an awesome, yet sick series, if you can't handle sick gore, don't bother with this.

Now with bigger swings, and bigger fail. I'm starting to think that Morikawa has been taking trolling lessons from Kubo...

For as much as Ippo is annoying me right now I'm gonna stick with it. I've been with it for so long, and even though the fights are terribad right now the stuff outside of the fights is still entertaining. I'll be sure to let you know if/when Takamura gets another fight.

Thanks for the suggestion, Franken Fran is pretty damn fun. It's a bit gory, but nothing you haven't seen if you've read, say, Gantz, or even Battle Angel.

Think I mentioned this manga alittle while ago, very much liking it. Latest chapters and it looks like the following ones will seem to start explaining alittle more about their master, plus learning interesting things about alcohol and such is always nice.

And the Ippo 889 raw and spoilers are out. Honestly you'd have to read it to believe it, it's such utter bullshit how Ippo turns this fight around. We better get a fucking Takamura match or some awesome side story after this.

Holy shit at Beelzebub's votes beating out everyone this week. I can't wait till it's translated now.

As for Bakuman's story being based off of the mangakas' experience; I got the same feeling as well.

Edit: If it is a retelling, that would mean Bakuman is almost ending 'cause we all know how Death Note turned out, so there really wouldn't be anything new there. Unless something we don't know was happening behind the scenes.

It wouldn't be too hard to just continue on in a different way if it's a retelling. I know plenty of webcomics that are based off the actual writer/artist doing them but after a few years the characters become their own being and are a good bit different from the artist/writer.

Yeah, I love Franken Fran, it's one of the best manga I've read. They just started adding new chapters too, which is pretty nice. You probably want to spoiler those pics for gore though.

    Bakuman 80:

    Spoiler: show

Pretty much headed where I was thinking, with them not getting serialized right away. They're probably going to get rejected at least once more, thanks to finally listening to the strategy that Hattori was discussing with other editors before Tanto: "If it were me, I'd keep rejecting whatever they brought in and wait for something really amazing. I want to see what they can accomplish when they really put their minds to it." Which makes sense considering their best work has been on their third attempt (Money and Intelligence, and Trap).

Yeah, totally agreed. Trap was an awesome idea, and so was Money and Intelligence, so I think they can truly come up with a great idea for the next meetings. Here's hoping, anyway.

The World God Only Knows (Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai) was green-lit an anime today. I haven't really seen many people mention anything about the Manga, but there is a description about it in the below article.

I don't have enough posts to post the link but this is taken from an article from AnimeNewsNetwork (copy/paste, sorry) :

"This year's 19th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that an anime adaptation of Tamiki Wakaki's Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai (The world god only knows) romantic comedy manga has been green-lit. A footnote at the end of the 94th manga chapter in that issue has further announced that the manga is taking a one-issue break due to work on the anime and novel adaptations.

The manga centers on Keima Katsuragi, a high school boy who is known as the "Capturing God" for his success at romance simulation games. However, thanks to a contract with a devil, he now has to capture the hearts of real girls to catch the runaway spirits hidden in those hearts.

The manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 2008, and the eighth compiled book volume will ship on April 16. "

If anyone has not read this Manga before, I highly recommend it. ^^
