anyway, i don't think anyone actually gives a flying fuck about soul eater, it only comes up every now and then since it show up around the same time in the month alongside FMA and for god knows what reason, occasionally it get scanlated first, but now that FMA ended, i don't think anyone is really assed to read the series since the middle of the month is now a gaping hole in scanlation release and my heart ; ;

though if the author wanted to make the series actually good, now is about the right time since there is no longer another series to totally shit on everything he does in the chapter.

Is Highschool of the Dead close to being done, or is the anime going to end up coming up with it's own ending? I'm trying to watch the anime episodes first before reading the manga as I so far prefer watching the series to reading it.

No one knows if the anime will have an original ending or it'll stop at a certain chapter (my guess chapter 15) if they decide that, the anime will end in a cliffhanger.


without spoiling the plot, unlikely the manga will end anytime soon. it recently came back from Hiatus(The anime is what brought it back), and with it being i believe Bi-monthly release, it'll take several years, and that's if the author doesn't decide on another Hiatus.

Next HotD chapter is due out in September, and it looks like the series is going to be running pretty irregularly for the foreseeable future; Shouji Sato is taking a break next month (most likely due to Comiket) and the next Triage X chapter will be out in October, almost certainly running in HotD's place for that month.

Just read/watched the manga/anime for High School of the Dead; It's really good. A shame there are so few chapters. Atm I prefer the manga but it'll be great if the anime keeps up the quality shown in the first two episodes.

Anyone else not like Miyamoto Rei? I mean I appreciate all the fan service but I can't stand how fickle she is (BF dies than she's all over Takashi) and how much she freaking nags. Vastly prefer Saeko to her and I am usually the kinda guy to prefer the more endowed characters.

Makes perfect sense when you think of it as a coping mechanism.
She's latching onto him as a kind of replacement so that she doesn't have to think about the fact that her boyfriend is dead. It also helps her to not think about how her father at best was on the front lines against the zombies and as such is probably dead like most law enforcement officials. Asami is the only live cop they see and we all know how that ended.

Saeko copes by taking advantage of the fact that she actually enjoys slicing up zombies.
Takagi already had her nervous breakdown when she started crying in the school but got over it and as such is the most sane person in the group.

I'm not sure on the school nurse since while she act's like a ditz she's still a medically trained professional in both physiology and psychology. I wouldn't be surprised if she had some sort of tangential military involvement given her friend and she knows about psychological disorders associated with war.

Anyway.. awesome chapter. So we've had bits where it's the writing that's the issue in earlier stories, and now Mashiro's discovered that it's his fault that they were doing how they were doing so he improved. If Niizuma recognizes that PCP is on the up and up.. then it must be true. He's hardly ever wrong.

Shit's getting awesome. Rising three spots like that is pretty big for them. Can't wait for more.

I'm usually one to read the manga before the anime if I'm aware of the series, but I just prefer the anime to the manga, so what Ive done these last 2 times is watch the anime then read the chapter the episode covered. That may change later, but as of right now I'm perfectly able to wait the week.
