Anyone reading Nurarihyon no Mago? Especially since the anime is in it's second season now.

Pretty good, it's gotten a HUGE boost in popularity over the last few months.

I don't like it that much >.> I feel like this arc is dragging on too long... I want to see what Eiji is up to, or what new series they would do, or even something about Miho (lately she disappeared lol).

Looking for some recommendations on what to read. I have held out reading manga for a long time, but finally gave in. I haven't read all that much; so far I've read: Eden, Gantz, Berserk, and Claymore. I'm not really interested in reading manga's of the anime's I've seen, but I can't really remember what I've seen. Just off the top of my: Bleach, Death Note, Akira, Outlaw Star, Trigun, Hellsing. There are others, but my brain isn't working right now.

If possible, I would like series that are completed. After reading Gantz, Berserk and Claymore I've been overwhelmingly disappointed that I have to wait to read more (I'm kind of impatient<.<; ). If it is an exceptionally good series that is very far in then I may make an exception

I'm considering Vagabond right now, but because it isn't completed yet, I am not sure that I want to read it and be disappointed when I finish it and the story isn't done :\

    Thanks in advance.

Read Vagabond. The art has great ink & wash and watercolor pages that are very expressive and much less technical than a lot of the stuff I've been seeing put out. It also works on two levels since the main character was also painted in the sumi-e style. It's based on the true story of Miyamoto Musashi who was a renowned duelist, founder of a sword wielding style, painter, writer of The Book of Five Rings and friend of Takuan Soho who was a Buddist monk warrior-philosopher that wrote The Unfettered Mind. The History Channel did a documentry on him if you want to learn more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NT1tPpkVMM. The manga breaks from historical accuracy quite a hell of a lot, but it's still a good read even if you are looking for something that is finished.

Blade of the Immortal is also pretty good, though that is also an ongoing series. It's about an immortal samurai that is seeking redemption by helping a girl get revenge for her parent's murder.

A short series (pretty sure it was ended prematurely) that was seriously fucked up is Live (or Lives, can't remember). It's from the same author as Battle Royale and has the same kinda fucked up survivalist feel.

Defense Devil is pretty good and it was completed rather recently. Manga is in the same vein as Naruto/Bleach/One Piece.

Vagabond manga wasn't even based on the historical Miyamoto Musashi account, it's based on the fictional novel of Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa

    Spoiler: show

Welcome back, Hiramaru! I missed your antics with Yoshida... The rest of the Fukuda group too. It's been a while.

Other than that, more buildup... at least the "battle terms" are set now.

my only beef with it is the downtime in between big fights in arc, but the fights and reflections/background story of it is just amazing.

then again, the downtime is nowhere near bullshit that is ippo

The character development is excellent, and there really isn't an "annoying character". I really don't mind the downtime, but than again, that's another reason I like waiting until the manga is finished - I don't have to worry about getting stuck for weeks with things that are just taking up pages. It also allows me to enjoy the art more, and this manga is just fantastically drawn
