I know mules are like buying inventory space, and we shouldnt have to do that either. The fact remains that SE told us that they couldnt give us the extra space (and thus we had to pay for mules) due to memory limitations. Now they suddenly fix it, but for a price!

And no, I dont have a problem with paying for the encoder. I do have a problem with paying for inventory space. Wether you want to package it up with another sold product, it is still buying in game resources.

having suspicions against SE for charging money for many in game items and additions (this one, sugarcoated with a physical device) in small increments isn't without reason, how many other times have they charged for in game additions? 3, 3 expansions you have to pay more than your regular monthly fee for. Now they're making you pay in smaller increments, it just looks bad.

It's not a bad thing that we're criticizing it, if only to avert FFXI turning into a situation like a korean MMOG where you pay for every single thing you play with.

Couldn't agree with you more. The funniest part to me is all of the people that are like, well it's only $10 if you can't afford that you shouldn't play subscription based games, bleh, bleh, bleh. That was mildly acceptable the first $10 this update, same exact response on the second $10 ..... when they announce another in-game item tomorrow for $15 is it still acceptable? What is the limit?

And really, anyone who can say that inventory space expansion isn't a critical thing to every player in the game is just lying. This is one of those issues that we have begged them to correct for years. The token was completely solid on it's own and the price was great. This was totally unnecessary.

I wonder if they'll add another magical real money item this year? That would put us above the current $50 we've already spent to get everything they've released so far. But hey, if you can't pay an extra $50 dollars you're a bum right? Just for fun we should come up with a yearly limit that would be crossing the line. $100? $200? Paying for Job Adjustments?
