Sarcasm only reveals your inability to refute the arguements of your advesary.
So would you pay for the Job updates too Ringthree?
What about icon changes for armor?
Or perhaps you would like to pay for new missions being added to campaign? With special purchase of the SE coffee mug ofcourse..
For you and Neo. And Neo, sarcasm is usually used when the argument that you disagree with has reached such incredulous levels that appeals to logic are no longer tenable.

"buy my security key and, well, also get free bonuses ingame"
"buy my band cd and, well, also get free naked shots of our singer"
marketing at its best. or worst?
You've got it backwards. Everyone who says, "I'm too smart to get hacked," is, well, wrong. But since we're a load of arrogant jackasses who are convinced of our invulnerability, SE had to find some way to force us to get a surprisingly effective security device at a trivial cost. It's going to work for me and it's going to work for everyone else around here.
The Tidal Talisman and Piano Collection were one thing, but this is quite different. This is sound understanding of human nature.
But this is Advanced on BG, where posting rights are removed if you don't automatically complain. The lack of randomized bitching in the White Mage update thread clearly needed to be offset and the Red Mage updates weren't doing enough.
It's okay, my wife is smoking hot. Internet girl = no thanks.
On a side note, as far as people who have security tokens for other things like ATMs and AOL accounts, what happens when you lose it?
Can you get it replaced easy? Can they deactivate it and let you go back to your old password? That's my only real worry with this thing as the wife has a tenancy to move shit around the house in a random fashion where they get lost forever.
Chains of promathia, 19 dollars
Treasures of Aht Urgahn, 19 dollars
Wings of the goddes, 19 dollars
80 inventory spaces? priceless. with this purchase of a plastic stick.
Or you could take a look at their annual finance report and learn that FFXI is not where they lose money. It is one of their cows they like to milk to fund their other projects. Actually...we are their cows that keep throwing money on them every month and are still happy to throw some more for additional stuff that would have been "free" a year ago.
And as it was said before: Noone complains about the token or that it is 10$.
But linking it to inventory space ingame is bs.
You didnt answer my questions Ringthree. Stop trolling.
Would you also pay for job updates?
Armor Icon graphic changes?
New lolCampaign Missions? (With really nice armor at the end for those that pay the 10 dollar fee!).
Ringthree is one of the only people here that actually have something behind his skull bone.
The rest sounds like fucking immature kids.
OK let's try something.
The monthly fees cover:
1/ Server maintenance
2/ Updates
3/ Access the game content
In many companies, a new project like expensions would have his own budget, and that explains why we pay for them (Return on Investment in English?)
Now, here's how I see what is happening.
Feel free to tell me where I'm wrong.
We already pay them for the development of things like improvement of the exisiting game (abilities, inv. spaces...), new quests and updates related to previous expensions, etc...
And now, we also have to pay for the result of this development?
I feel like paying twice for the same service, and that's why this way to proceed is BS imo.
If they did it to boost the security of their game, fine by me, I get the tip.
But then this should be released in a normal update in the future, and they should announce it.
And no, I'm not a constant "SE suckz!" guy....
So much menstruating on this page lol.
You a cool dude Neo, but this guy sums it up well. They had been mentioning at in a few interviews on JPButton, can look for yourself as well.
Even though it's inventory space you pay for essentially, it's a smart business move on SE's part and it's packaged legally as a "Free item" that comes with purchase. Kinda like how Cereal Makers put that super rare toy a kid MUST HAVE, but in their choice boxes of cereal onry.

Because you obviously didn't read it the first time.
