Ofcourse I did, and over the course of 5 years SE didn't change the expectations of what I had to pay to get their updates and play their game. Did just changed all that in a single month.

Do you feel good calling me a bastard? Seems you people run out of arguments to justify this.

You mean you don't want to try to argue against completely logical and coherent arguments with stupid rethoric answers that don't address anything again? Ah ok, i get you. Sorry.

I was excited when I saw it was just $10 dollars. Then I kept reading and pooped myself.

Anyone bitching about the "RMT" thing...it's ten fucking dollars. Quit your incessant bitching and get a job if you can't afford it. I'll agree that the whole mini-scenario and in-game item thing is just a ploy to get more money. But in this particular instance, it's so cheap and it's something that will help you in so many ways, just shut the fuck up and get it. Or don't. We don't care. Just shut up.

    GG SE, for real.

I'd have paid 100 bucks for this without the stupid token attached. Now I've got all kinds of problems because I'm playing on an import etc. Inventory space is very valuable, why couldn't this have been for some gimmicky piece of jewellery that no one cares about instead? ; ;. Hell, SE how about this.. skip the middleman and actually SELL useful services/items themselves without having to attach some RL shit to it. Like the Tidal Talisman.. I really didn't care much for the necklace (infact I don't even know where it is now) but the enchantment is awesome and I'd have totally paid twice what I did for that alone.

I've been on both sides of this situation. I still believe that tanks should have all medications that are helpful just in case.

Did you READ my post? I said I do put in fast cast and haste gear, don't be a twit. I know what the recasts and such are like, and I have gotten Blindna down to being ready as soon as its done being cast, but the fact is, it is still the slowest of all the -na spells and it's really annoying.

Second off i ask for silena when i am the main tank. When a mob does silence it hits only me or only me and the co tank. Doing silena on 2 people is not hard. If you find it is quit WHM or any mage job >_>
I'm not talking about 2 people. I said 20. Or 10. Or whatever. There aren't a lot of things I do as of late that really only have 2 tanks beating on a mob.. Dynamis, Einherjar, etc.. no, that's a lot of targets getting hit by AoE stuff.

Frankly, I get insulted when people tell me they need Silena/etc. Most of the time, unless I fucking sneezed or something when something went off and I completely missed it, I already know it. If I'm not casting on you immediately, there's a reason for it. Those are the instances you want your echo drops handy.

I do not find it "hard," I find lazyasses who can't take the time to bring things along for those instances that invariably happen annoying. I am a damn good WHM, goddammit, and I'm freakin' proud of my WHM, which is why I get insulted when I have people screaming at me for -na spells. But there are times when things just aren't going to line up right and you're not going to get your -na spell immediately. That's why you should have the echos if you're something that Silence hits in a particularly bad way (aka, a caster who needs spells available pretty much at all times (PLD, NIN, WHM, BRD, RDM) or are one who can cast those same -nas.

Don't tell me to quit playing my job of choice just because I expect everyone else I play alongside to put the same care and effort into doing events and whatnot as I do.

This is a win/win for fucking EVERYONE. If you cannot afford the $10 charge, you should not be wasting money playing video games. Very simple.

The best part is it's optional, so if you do silly account sharing crap, you just don't have to get it. If you are still complaining after all this, castration is the only way out for you. May I suggest pit bulls, coat hangers, or harsh abrasive chemical soaked Brillo pads.

Also, who do I pay $9.99 to so I never have to see another picture of an attention whore trying to look ten years younger? That option on POL somewhere, or do I just donate directly to BG?
This may come as a shock to you, but not all of us are retard babies who can't maintain a secure account over the years, and I mean that in every way you can construe it, with account sharing, secure passwords, virus checking, secure web browsing, anything you can think of. I've never had any risk of compromising my account and short of someone from China breaking into my house and beating me over the head for my information it probably won't ever happen.

So for people who manage to keep a secure account, it probably seems like a bit of extortion is all, forcing people to use a more secure system that they don't need for a better actual game experience (the inventory), without even getting into the fact that they have to pay for it. I'm sure a lot of people would pay 10 bucks for the inventory without caring (although some people obviously have issues with this as well) but forcing the use of the token is just like having an account somewhere that has a policy along the lines of "PASSWORDS MUST BE AT LEAST 48 CHARACTERS LONG AND CONTAIN NO MORE THAN 3 LETTERS IN A ROW AND ALTERNATING CASES AND AT LEAST 10 NUMBERS 8 SYMBOLS AND 4 ARABIC CHARACTERS" (dramatic example, hush).

Yeah, they're more secure. No, there's nothing theorectically BAD about it (apart from the hassle of going through that password bullshit to log on) but it's kinda patronizing for people who are perfectly capable of handling their own security fine. Yes, for every one of us theres 1000 people who can't, but still, that doesn't mean you wont upset the few of us. Oh well, majority rule decides most things, and that's why things like this happen.

All that being said, I'll probably just "upgrade" my security to one of the tokens, just for the inventory, and deal with the added hassles that come with it. But like many people, I'm going to be slightly resentful at basically being forced into it. Yeah, no one HAS to get it, but the way they're going about the incentive is pretty much making it absolutely unparalleled in comparison to not getting it, which goes back to feeling extorted.

The people who think they are most secure, who are most confident in their security, are the ones most vulnerable to a clever hacker. If you think you're safe, you will benefit from this dongle and, hey, bonus inventory. Can the whining already.

Are you people slow? The problem is not selling content, this is a known business model of many online and offline products. Seriously, keep trying to take things out of context to win your stupid ego wars, but that's not gonna give you any reason.

The problem is the shifting SE is showing to transform FFXI into that model. The game was never like this, now it seems SE is experimenting to see how that works for them and how people recieve it (judging by this thread, very well). And that is exactly why i'm disgusted, because of the shift.

Is it good for them? Well duh, it is, but why would I even care about that? I'm the paying costumer, not an employee of them.

Does that clear things for you or do you need some spelling before you go back to point that "real money trade" means buying stuff?

    http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...s/slowpoke.gif

Pardon me for being such a slowpoke, but if I haven't done but only 2 gobbiebag quests (60 inventory space), this should give me an extra 60 slots, correct? If so, I won't even bother with the other 50000 gobbiebag quests. I'm poor ingame, but...decent IRL, lol.

Or am I reading this wrong. Huge thread in a short span, etc.

    Thanks if answered!

i agree, doesn't mean I'm not buying 2x of these for the inventory :D

on the bright side between this and mog bonanza its pretty clear they are looking to pump up their bottom line, and it might be in order to help finance Rapture
