I will admit I don't have the education to understand your argument. That would be a backwards bizarro education that flies in the face of everything higher learning has developed.
Because it's a logical fallacy, why cant you see that?

I think there's an argument to be made for players on console that don't give out their PW. It's not so much the purchasing of the item that is a problem, but rather the fact that we have to *use* the item. Imagine if they made you wear that terrible twisted metal junk everyday just to get your Tidal Talisman in game. That's pretty much what it's like for console players that don't share PWs. The inventory is a necessity (Going to agree with Neo here), but the item itself is a liability. Why not make it optional for the base of players that don't need such an item?

Just to be an ass, considering adjusting our monthly fees for inflation to 2003 dollar from 2007 dollars(I don't have 2008 numbers, too busy to look), we are currently paying only $11.61 for our monthly fees. So even if you are right and we are getting less for the money we pay, we are actually getting less for less money paid.

    So there.

SE may or may not be shifting from a system of providing us a constantly evolving game experiance that we get for our subscription fees, to a stagnant game play experiance, where as any changes/upgrades to what we currently have will cost us.

Assumptions gogo. We'll see in a while, right now though you're basing this on a one example and I doubt that's enough to convince anyone.

I do think it would be best for them to offer the mog space without the keytoken, but did they say you have to use the token to get this item? How did the talisman work? i thought it just came with a code you had to reg in game to get the item. If is a code instead of having to use the token also, people can stop bitching.

All the "they are forcing me to pay for more inventory spaces!" arguments are such bullshit because you would need to pay for mules or new accounts anyway to achieve more than the current maximum allowable space on a character.

Come on Neo, for being one with the constant, pulsing, spewing, gushing, raging hardon for logic, you are really slipping here. It's either pay $1 a month for a mule to achieve 'bonus inventory' on a mule, or pay a one time $10 for 'bonus inventory' on your main AND a security token. Fucking man up already.

It started with them testing the waters with a few random in game items (warp coats, moggle items) that no one really cared if other people had.

It then moved to "mini expansions" where players paid for mission/story updates that didnt quantify as a true update or a true expansion, but for some reason required us to pay for it.

It then moved farther to finally releasing perhaps the most requested game feature to date.... with the caveat that you must buy this new in game feature AND use a security token that many people have no desire to use.

Wether they follow this progressive trail will decide wether many people continue to play the game, however the fact remains there is a clear trend of SE moving towards direct RL money in exchange for in game benefits/mechanics changes.

Because if you offer somebody more for their money then they are more likely to buy it. Also, they are probably trying to figure out different ways to make peoples accounts more secure and trying to get the population as a whole to do it so they can be even more lazy with their GMing. I don't see where people get off saying that they are only releasing updates in this form of us paying for them when they are releasing updates at the same time as the mini expansions lol.

Because it isn't. You're just parroting that phrase because you 1) don't know what it is and 2) have no intelligent argumentative rebuttal.

Once again, just answer the question. Are you so upset over this because you want the extra inventory but don't want the limitations imposed by the security token on account sharing?

You guys just dont get it.

Saturday is 10 bucks for 2 lapdances night at my favorite club.

Where the fuck are your priorities.

Edit: @ The-Q: No, im not just upset about that (though that is one part). I also dont like having to pay for features that SHOULD be added for free in normal updates. This is the single biggest player request from SE and they package it up with a mandatory key encoder? Bullshit.

    This. HARD!
I've had too many damn mules over the past few years. I'll gladly pay $10 axe one of them at least and not have to pay $12 a year. Look at that? I just saved $2!
