Except the problem is I never asked you to take anything I said on faith (in this thread or the last thread), so my credentials dont really matter (even though I am a physicist in RL). As for this topic, the only credentials that matter is being a concerned player.

Okay this thread jumped to page 20 something really really fast and I'll be damned if I read all of it.

80 extra slots is a damn good incentive to purchase an optional increase in your account's security. To me this deal looks win/win. I don't share my account information though.

I was hesitant at first about the security thing but with 80 extra slots I'm definitely buying one.

no, you see, or at least i felt that i saw it, was that we were essentially being charged for an in game addon. kinda like a form of real money trading. only packaged with a device to make it seem like this wasnt a bad thing.

In that case, it makes no sense whatsoever. On top of the licensing and manufacturing fees, Square-Enix had to pay their programmers and testers alike to ensure that the technology worked. That has likely already made the dongle a loss for their company. Charging $10 is a minimal fee, one that won't help them recoup those costs.

On top of that, something I hadn't bothered to mention previously was the obvious additional coding and testing required for the Mog Satchel implementation. That cost money as well, meaning this entire thing is an investment for Square-Enix.

To the people who are complaining that they're getting ripped off, do you understand, now? This isn't profitable. It's a loss. It is an investment, and they are giving you something free along with it. If you're still going to bitch, then you're just being an ignorant cockbag.

Sharing accounts with someone you actually know... and the inconvenience is not worth going from 1% chance to 0% chance at having to call SE up and get your account back, maybe, at some point in the next 5 years. And I asked why you were BAWING so fucking hard. If you want to get more inventory than allowed by max Bag/Storage/Safe/Locker you have to pay money for it anyway. You then proceeded to reference the pointless religious thread, and I started making fun of you for backing off when you would usually try to tear me a new one.

So, once again, it's your move. Why is it such an outrage to pay less for something over time (assuming you play for at least 10 more months) than you are possibly paying for already? Plus, bonus security token for people not behind 7 proxies and all that.
