SE is pro at milking their players. Perhaps if they just provided a notable level of customer service instead of their "it ain't our fault j00 got hacked, we keep logs but say we don't so we can't do nothin" attitude they seem to keep, this sort of thing wouldn't of even been thought of. Lol at the 80 inv spots, I'm gonna buy this for that, like many, when can I buy rare/ex gear with cash SE ? Wonder if someone will RE the Token and exploit the Algorithm...

SE wrote, "It is required for the PlayOnline ID to be linked to the Square Enix Account that has a security token associated."

Although what we don't know is if you can just call up SE tell them you lost your token after you linked it and got the satchel, and request them to unlink it from your account. Then see if you keep satchel still. I guess we will find out next week. Someone is going to try it I am sure.

Dunno if this has been mentioned yet. But the blurb says that the Satchel is equal to your goggie bag capacity. So everyone is assuming it's 70 slots (up to 80 when you do new gobbie bag quests).

But your gobbie bag isn't 70 or 80 slots is it? Your original inventory when you started the game was 30 slots iirc (was so long ago). Anything additional to that is your gobbie bag. Could the satchel only be 40/50 slots?

Seriously lol at everyone QQing over $10, what the fuck is wrong with you? Getting higher security for your account for a game you have been playing 5 years or so with a free ingame item of 80 inventory has created 30+ pages of people bitching and crying, awesome.

People are mostly QQing because they don't like the bundle and most of them fall into one of the following category:

A: ) Account Sharers Type 1. These people share their own account with their friends, sometimes just to login and get something like Einherjar feathers, and other times something a little more complex such as PLing, or Dual Boxing in Salvage. (even though it's a violation of TOS, so to think SE is going to consider this argument is completely irrational.) However, I encourage these people to contact a GM and complain they can't share their account.

Solution: Don't share you're account. Get token & Satchel.

B: ) Account Sharers Type 2. A secondary account with a specific purpose, while only owned by one person, is used by a few others for specific purposes. This account is separate from the owners main account. It may just be a bank, and may have multiple crafts leveled. It may even have White Mage or Red Mage leveled to 75 as well and used by the group for their own means.

Solution: Don't buy token.

C: ) Non Console players. These people don't feel their account is and will ever be at any risk and feel this is an inconvenience. In their defense, hopefully they won't HAVE to enable the security feature for the Mog Satchel, and I'm fairly certain this option will be available. If it isn't, complain to SE and hope they make a change.

Solution: Buy Token if you need the space.

D: ) People in oddball places of the world (no offense) they may have to use a third party mailing system just to get the damn thing which will cause them to incur extra costs. Many of these people want both the token and Mog Satchel, though you'd still find most primarily interested in the Satchel. Honestly, if SE doesn't normally market FFXI where you live and you happen to play, you should anticipate having to take this step and just deal with it. You probably had to do something similar just to buy the game.

Solution: Use a remailing service. (Google for Mail Forwarding Service) This will cost you about 15 dollars using USPS shipping which can take 7-21 days to arrive to you, after it's reshipped. There are ways to get it much faster (within a couple days) by having it remailed with priority-specialized carriers such as FedEx.

E: ) Emo Faggots who carve the names of the faggot band members of My Chemical Romance into their skin because their daddy makes them play "hide the penis" every night. A combination of anti-social, emotional and psychological factors inhibit rational thought, causing them to "act out" against any sort of conformist situation. In this case, they want to express their individuality by having the option to buy the token, or the satchel, or both, or neither. They feel backed into a corner with a "yes" or "no" type of decision. This "black and white protocol" fills them with blinding flashbacks when their mom's brother, who also happened to be their father (AKA "Uncle Daddy") made them choose between mouth-to-ass or ass-to-mouth which they ventilate as e-rage.

Solution: An Hero.


Keep in mind this constitutes a very small percentage of the FFXI population. So nobody really gives a fuck, regardless.

Security Tokens and Mog Satchels are completely unfuckingrelated. The only people who need Security Tokens are people playing on PC that are retarded. People playing on PS2/PS3/Xbox have no use for one. People who have 8th grade level intelligence on PC don't need one.

It makes no sense to stick the two fucking things together. They could have announced $30 Nomad Moogle plush dolls that come with a code for Mog Satchels and pissed a lot fewer people off probably.

Regardless, people would've complained no matter what it was attached to, and that's obvious. You know that, and I'm sure everyone else does, too. Personally, I could care less about a doll, or a music CD, or any of that mess, because I don't care about collectible trinkets. Even if I don't really need it, I'd rather have a dongle that served a purpose than some worthless thing like a statue.

When it comes to what physical objects people feel are of value, opinions will always differ. I'm simply grateful that they're finally attaching something useful to an object that they're selling, rather than something like a piano for your Mog House. And considering that it's not only cheap, but isn't being sold at a profit to the retailer, I don't believe there's any reason to complain.
