And after selling out their supply of tokens and selling their three mini-scenario-expansions, they announce that they will be shutting the servers down and no longer be supporting the game!
Well, hope not, anyway.
As for people who want friends to be able to log in for them, the solution has been posted already. Just call them when you want to log in.
In fact, that should allow more people to let friends log in for them. Right now, you'd be stupid to give anyone your password unless you trust them with your life. If you're going to be at work when your LS does some critical event and needs to borrow your BRD, now you can let them with a one-time pass and not be worried that someone will jack your account sometime down the road.
It is now safer to let friends have access to your account, and not only that, they can now only do so when you know about it. No more worrying if your friend is logging in behind your back or using your character without you knowing. No more "Who borrowed my kclub?!"
i play on 360 and on PC i don't hand my account main acc info out to anyone nor will i ever my other 3 accounts only 1 person has 1 acc info which in all fairness idc if it did get hacked, i trust them with it and theres nothing of major value on it so see no interest in it getting hacked. i will be buying 1 or 2 of these tokens .. unsure if 1 token will work on 2 accounts or not seam a lil iffy still from what ive read ( maybe i just don't understand how they work with linking).
i don't really agree that you should have to pay for the extra security, its something se should work towards, but meh end of day 8 pounds for the extra chance my account wont be hacked isn't so much of a deal.. in comparison to what i can buy for 8 pounds in terms of length/use its worth 8 quid i think.
the mog slots are just again worth 8 pounds also, ide rather not have to pay for this either but meh way i see this is i have loads of mules i can now delete and keep 1 or 2 with maybe gobbie bag 4 or 6 ad recoup the rl money that way for the token and the mog satchel.
all in all imo its win win.
i don't understand why so many ppl are QQing, looks like on a lot of other threads also many ppl QQing over things, change the name of BG to QQ forums as it seams to be heading that way on most threads.
Hog
Kerb, does everyone you trust with your account info use firefox with noscript? Do they have roommates or family members who share or use their computer without their knowledge and happen to use IE on shady sites? Would you spend ten dollars to be bullet proof?
April fools this is the best update ever.
I don't get what is so fucking hard to grasp about people wanting just the inventory and not the stupid token... I'm sorry that i have faith in the people that i have been playing with for 5 years to not take my shit and they have faith in me to not take their shit as well, in the past 5 years i have accumulated the login info to 39 accounts, some are banned now and some have quit and some are mules now but guess what none of them have been stolen from and none of them have been hacked not all of us want to orgasm over a device we really have no need for and will actually inconvenience us *DAILY* for a peace of mind that we already have... if you cannot use the satchel without the device i wont be buying this
edit: im personally more afraid of getting gm'd for getting flee affect from swamps then getting hacked in all honesty
If typing in six digits is an inconvenience then wow
Its not the 6 digits i dont get why you cant understand that... its the fact that i play around 4 ls members daily. 1 is a PLD that i use daily for camping stuff or tanking stuff when the other pld's are asleep, the reason i use him is because he is either asleep or busy either way it is impossible to contact him when hes not on the game because he never answers his phone and it would be a huge inconvenience for me and my ls to wait to fight tiamat/khim/cerb/ixion because we have 0 fucking tanks awake.
Im saying it is an inconvenience because i use other accounts when i am unable to get in contact with said person and need him for a certain event and i dont exactly have enough time to sit there and call him 20 times hoping he wakes up before someone else shows up.
Like I said - I'd be getting the token anyway, was just anticipating the in-game item being something useless like a silly hat, so more inventory is just completely beyond the expected and I'm happy.
I'm only worried for the UK/EU importers from America who may not be able to get hold of this if it goes off POL details since you can't ever change the region on your account information there. SE really are eventually going to have to accept that their total region lockdown system is causing problems, that people DID import the game to play it based upon the Final Fantasy brandname, that these people are often among their oldest customers and begin to acknowledge their issues. I know my fiance did send a feedback email via POL last night on the issue - don't know if he's had a reply since then or not though.
So you're butthurt that you can't break the Terms of Service anymore?
Yep..I lurk between the shadows...then again, good snipers could still get you but that's aside the point.
You see people who don't want the token, which is fine but its the fact people like you in question (that don't want the token) wants the inventory space and feel ripped off.
When, like you said...it isn't rocket science that the inventory space is an incentive to GET the token. Why should people get the incentive gift..but not the product that the incentive is offered for?
It doesn't work that way IRL. People have friends they trust and blah blah, but guess what? People aren't supposed to be sharing accounts to begin with.
Shouldn't you be hypothesizing how to kill Absolute Virtue or something?
If SE wanted to sell people more inventory space, instead of having four updates this year, THEY SHOULD HAVE SOLD PEOPLE MORE INVENTORY SPACE.
They shouldn't bundle shit that's completely fucking irrelevant to a large chunk of their customers with shit that's completely fucking relevant to a large chunk of their customers.
Now take Sage Sundi's member out of your mouth and get back to talking about Temperance Torques and shit.
Don't forget the other people who just don't even care if their account gets hacked and are willing to put up with Square's service to get your character back if they want it. And hey, if you lose it for good, all that much more time to actually do something worthwhile with your life.
But shit, I love paying extra for stuff that has been and still should be part of my original subscription. This is an extra reminder of just how badly Square has us all by the balls and there's nothing we can do about it unless we want to suffer a rather extreme consequence.
And yes, people arguing that inventory is a luxury either have two jobs leveled or have to be the stupidest sons of bitches here. The inventory space available to players in the game right now is far from valid and the longer this game goes on the less valid it gets. Salvage 15,25,35 armor? Needing 12 spaces for zeni? 3 spaces for MMM? holding sky and sea pops? Limbus chips? Who knows how much shit we'll have to hang on to with the next event not to mention the ever increasing amounts of rare/ex gear.
We might as well have been paying extra fees for every time they extended our inventory. But hey, I suppose most of you people would be cool with that. Anything past 30 inventory and 50 mog safe is just a luxury, right?
