Low man Divine Might

i won with 12, so not truely low-man. took in 8 BLMs, 1 rdm to sleep the pets ASAP and grab hate on a mob, and 3 ninja kiters. All slowly apprached, lead BLM called a time for a timed nuke burst 1 on the Taru. Nins and Rdms each had a different NM tanking and engaged, and all the BLMs made an assit macro for each of kiters. they just hit the /assist macro for each of them, and went down the line. Took them out in the following order

Taru
Galka
Mithra
Hume
Pets
Elvaan


the only bump we had was the Hume got off Mijin, and took out 4 of the BLMs, with the 4 remaining BLMs taking out the pets while the 4 that were dead RRs up and rested. Myself (nin)and the other nin just bounced hate back and forth on the PLD until the BLMs were up. A timed volley of ES Burst1 followed by Burst2 finished off the Elvaan.

Whole fight took about 9 mins from time of entry to exit

a 75 RDM can Give a 32 Phalanx as well. The PLD/BLU with Sheild blocks will then out do the RDM/BLU. You got 2 JAs that give you -100% dmg and -100% DMG (with af2) or -90%.

If the DDs are not done in the 2-3min window you got of taking little to no DMG. Get better DDs >_>

RDM can only give a 28 phalanx II, and that's if you full merit it and have a good enhancing setup. I don't know a single 5/5 phalanx II rdm.. whereas, every rdm I know has at least a 25 self phalanx. Shield blocks are nice, but if you don't block a couple ws in a row you're going to eat dirt whereas a RDM in damage- setup won't.

Going to be a while, but my new acct, my wife, Ramzus, and the alt I'm leveling from scratch to be my new main will all need DM.

When depends on how fast I can get a lv 29 WAR up to ZM17 :D

I tried to Super-Tank it on RDM/BLU once with an imperfect damage- set (Terra's, Cheviot, Jelly, Goliard for 33/38) but it was very hard to get Phalanx back up. At least I THINK that was the issue for that time... I can't remember.

In any case, things to watch for when Super Tanking this are Knockback WSs which will interrupt your casts (try to get your back in a corner if you can), AOE WSs hitting your healers, the Pet's TP moves (Dream Flower or Roar, depending on which pet), and of course, MP constraints. Best to have 2 healers for the super-tank, though any good healing class could probably do it. Just remember not to /heal (or let your healer /heal) within ~15' of them or they will take aggro.

I had good experience with BLU on these. I wasn't too terribly well geared at that point either, so I assume a well geared/merited BLU might pull ahead of most DPS melees in this particular fight, especially since they can be ready for full zerg mode with nothing more than a Sushi and a full MP bar.

As with any instance where interruption can be a factor, recast critical spells, like Phalanx, before they wear off.
