On the episode: Was good finally etc want more!
On Shaw: Bryce pulled a magic carpet out of his ass I'm sure Shaw can as well...
Fucking awesome episode. It looks like they have Sarah in lingerie next episode, yay!
Best fucking episode they've had on yet. I thought it was fucking fantastic.
And Chuck FINALLY seals the deal!
Gonna be interesting to see where it goes from here, but the Morgan/Casey dynamic is fun, and the acoustic Jeffster performance was nice.
I liked this episode. A nice, easy, fun episode before it leads into some more mayhem next week with that older spy team. That's gonna be great.
The Casey and Morgan dynamic was hilarious.
Are they trying to shift focus from Buy More/home life to more spy/mission oriented shows now? Seems like they've been kinda phasing it out, and are all but writing Ellie and Awesome out of the show. And it looks like they've selected a few key Buy More people to keep, and the rest don't seem to make an appearance anymore.
They don't have the money for everyone is the simplest answer. OFC I saw on EW that there was some show that was shifting a few years into the future for next season. I hadn't heard that Chuck was gonna be back at all so it may not be that show but a futureshift would help bring back Ellie/Awesome and move the show back to Burbank?
also, to a degree, I think the show is trying to develop and change a bit as Chuck himself does. I think to some extent Buy More and whatnot need to remain part of the show, but it makes sense that as he matures as a spy the show would change somewhat
In addition to what other people have said, financial reasons played a key factor in that, too. Pretty sure NBC demanded some pretty strict budget cuts from Chuck for renewing it for a 3rd season (which almost didn't happen at all), and I very distinctly recall reading about them having to let Anna go.
It's been pretty interesting to follow the actor rotation this season. Like, if Morgan, Awesome and Ellie were all in an episode, they'd skip Big Mike, or Jeff and Lester. They had the whole BuyMore crew in one, but Awesome and Ellie weren't around. Etc.
Yep, just money issues. I'm sure we'll see Ellie and Awesome back within a few episodes for whenever the finale is.
I heard that the chances of a renewal are actually good as well.. but honestly, if the show stays awesome throughout, and has a nice finale, I'm not sure I'd want it back. I'd hate for them to beat it like a dead horse like people do other shows. They beg for another season that ends up being a letdown and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Just go out on a high note. An example of a shitfest would be Heroes, lol.
Wonder how many boners the actor playing Chuck got while playing a few of these scenes with mademoiselle Strahovski (sp?...)
