Did you have any copys? I have a silver slimline from when FFXII came out and just dumped my old brick PS2 on someone for 50$, it was broke and they knew it but it came with HDD and Network adapter, both worked so was still a good deal.

My thoughts were that this was the final price drop before PS2 becomes unsupported, $100 seems to be the cut off for that now days. I'll be picking one up this weekend hopefully, and stocking up on the great RPGs that console has!

Hispanic men gobble up electronics like nothing, regardless of price. My brother had a field day with his "only spoke Spanish" customers at his old job.

Why? The game library is like... not just miles ahead, like thousands and thousands of miles ahead of like... all other game systems ever combined into one.

Putting on my windbreaker for this reply in case of potential whooshing, but..

its sad that the decade old PS2 is selling as well as their next-gen console, which is supposed to be all the rage.. its quite obvious the library and such is there, that's WHY it sells. It doesn't make it any less pathetic.

Same systems sitting on my shelf.... ppl are still grabbing my preowned ones at $80 for a slimline.

This is a huge disappointment for a handful of my customers and even one of my employees that have been holding out for any sort of price drop. Sony really is that close to selling these things. Even at a $50 drop, it would push a handful of my systems out instantly and I would see more then 1 sell a month.

Hopefully the sooner PS2 stops selling, the sooner Sony will realize they'll have to get off their asses and start writing a software PS2 emulator for the PS3 models without BC.....

I will probably end up picking up another PS2 just as a spare in case my current one ever dies. There are far too many games I love for PS2 and for the PS1 I would miss being able to play if my PS2 died in a couple years.
