WTS Laptop Dell 1720

Looking to sell and or trade my current laptop. It is a dell 1720 has a 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo, 3GB ram, 120GB HDD, 17" screen, it is red. the only problem it has is sound, the sound doesnt play correctly out of the right speaker, and the ear phone jack no longer functions (i'm not sure why this is, and i no longer have time to take it apart to repair it) I will install windows vista home premium (what it came with) or any flavor or linux you desire for you. it is wireless capable and a very good laptop. I am looking for cash or a trade for a smaller laptop+cash, or a trade for a mac book of some form (must have an intel processor at least) I'm far from dumb when it comes to computers, and know a low ball when I see it, so please dont try. I dont have the disks, but I can make you a restore disk if you need it. Thanks.

I had previously made a smartass and sarcastic remark that had no bearing on the thread, however I removed it because an admin sent me a message in my mind that if I fagged up a thread I would get banned. So with that, I wish you all the best in selling your laptop, and might I recommend to other users a very simple USB sound device to be able to use headphones.

If you think i'm just dumping this off on someone, you're wrong good sir. I'm not selling for the sound problem, I'm selling because i need the $ like a lot of people, and I dont NEED a laptop, laying in bed and checking email doesn't justify the need for a laptop.

I can post service tag when i get home, at work currently and dont have it memorized at all. iirc video card is an geforce 8400m, no physical damage. pics will be harder to do as i dont have a digital camera, and my phone is a piece of poop.

mmm interesting read. Ill be selling my m1710 as well and the sound is the same way for me. The USB works fine, but the jacks are not functional.
