According to the wiki: X-Men co-creator Stan Lee said he would cameo, but he was not in Australia during filming, so this will have to be a pick-up conducted during January 2009.

Regarding the workprint: Executive producer Thomas Rothman noted the leaked version lacked the ten minutes added during pick-ups in January 2009, while Rising Sun Pictures denied that they ever had a full copy of the film.

So he'll be in the theatrical cut, I guess?

Im a gambit fan and was very dissapointed, they couldve done a much better job with him. But yea I agree he did alright with what he had to work with. Is he my idea of gambit? Not at all, but I guess hes just the young version of him and hopefully they will recast/ give him more of a role in the sequels.

So I never read the comics so I might be missing something here. But why didn't Victor remember Logan in X-Men 1? We know Wolverine Lost his memory but did Victor go crazy as well? Or did they just say 'fuck it' when they made this movie and decided to change their background together (ie brothers).

I have to say the movie wasn't bad. It's a pretty good popcorn movie where you can switch off and coast through it.

That said it doesn't really commit to being one particular style of movie, seems to hop between wanting to please fans and being something any old joe can pickup and enjoy.

It assumes you know the characters already and on the chance you don't it gives you the very minimum to know who's who, or rather, who's important to the plot.
Given the length, the amount of characters, and the sheer size of Logans history it's understandable. But anyone even remotely interested in the comics is kind of left wanting.

On the one hand it works because you have enough info to keep up with what's happening on screen. But on the other hand a lot of people watching are going to be fans looking for more fleshed out characters.

I really expected more Gambit or Deadpool though considering the buzz they got online when they were announced, and what they did to Deadpool...Wade deserved better.

Tempted to watch it in the cinema when it's out, there's about 10min or so missing from the leaked version isn't there?
Few beers and some good food to turn the brain off and it's not a bad night out.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Will Have Multiple Secret Endings!

I just stepped out of a screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on the Fox lot in Los Angeles and before it started, director Gavin Hood stopped by to introduce the film. He spent most of the time thanking us for coming to this screening and seeing Wolverine the way it should be seen, in theaters, and talked about how many difference there were between the final cut and the early leaked version. He then mentioned that Marvel has a tradition of hiding easter eggs in their films, and it's no exception for Wolverine. They've hidden multiple secret endings on different prints and theaters will be showing different versions.

Fox is a bit desperate to try and get people in theaters on May 1st for the opening and this definitely seems like a very unique decision to try and bring people in. While we've seen plenty of easter egg endings, like in Iron Man last year, we haven't seen multiple endings like this in a long time. Hood didn't say how many different endings there would be. As for the other differences between the leaked version and the final cut, Hood explained that there were 400 unfinished visual effects shots and that there was no score, unfinished sound mixing, and unfinished coloring. However, he didn't mention anything about differences in footage.

I will say, quickly, that I enjoyed Wolverine and wouldn't call it great, but liked it a lot more than I was expecting. I think my expectations had been brought down considerably because of all the negative buzz from the leak. However, seeing a finished and polished version was what made all the difference (I never saw the leaked version anyway). As for the secret ending we saw tonight, I'll only say that it featured Deadpool, but I won't say anything more, as I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone. We'll let you know when we hear any more about the secret endings in Wolverine, including how many there are and what they are.

As of Wednesday, MovieTickets.com is reporting that “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is currently outpacing ticket sales for “Iron Man” 3-to-1 at the same point in the sales cycle (nine days prior to the film’s release).

Both films boast release dates during the first weekend in May during the last two years. “X-Men” releases Friday, May 1, 2009. “Iron Man” released in 2008 on Friday, May 2.”

People who liked the movie would go to see it in theaters anyway just to see it in all its rendered glory. If your movie is terrible, people aren't going to see it.

Also, to whoever asked about Ironmonger...

Iron Monger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He was actually a villain and Stane was actually the person in the suit. Iron Man has had plenty of villains but honestly this was the most logical route they could (and should, considering Iron Man's origins) take.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Movie Reviews, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes

ok... so I know it isn't out yet and the ppl writing reviews are either basing it from the leaked version or from an early screening. But common, those mini opinions are like they were paid to write as much positive about a movie as possible. I didn't think it was bad, but their boasts don't seem realistic either

I don't know if I can bring myself to go see the movie. Deadpool and Gambit are my two favorite Marvel characters. To see Deadpool fucked up would make me sad.

    You would kill yourself then.

70% through the movie I said, eh, this isnt as bad as X3, it's decent, until then end of the movie. And then deadpool's Character is just fucked 10 times over.

    Although
    Spoiler: show
Someone did make SOME kinda sense about how they can make a sequel off the end of the movie, as deadpool can re-attach his head, loose his "optic blast" and be a phycho. Since his "Blades" are broken he'd re-equips his katanas

but I raged way too hard, it's still bullshit

I'm guessing thats the DP related secret ending, to make way for the DP movie.

I'm amused at how the movie is being announced as having "secret endings" instead of saying "alternate endings." So how are we supposed to see these "secrete endings"? Is there certain combo everyone in the theater is gonna have to do in order to view it? Are we all gonna be given controllers and input hax codes to change the movie ending? Will we only be able to see it if there is a higher female then male ratio in the theater (lol)?
