He didn't shoot lasers at all times before, he had it under control.

Saw everything in a fancy-ass theater here in LA. Surprised they'd have different ending cuts for different places.

I enjoyed it. Apparently I missed the memo on who Deadpool was, but I guess that's what I get for not really being into the comics.

If you enjoyed something like "Battle Pope" and you don't know who Deadpool is, you are clearly a misled individual in need of enlightenment, and have some reading to do.

Of course, Deadpool doesn't always engage in things as risque as the Battle Pope's usual, but that's a given since he's not an indie production. He gets as close as he can, though, constantly breaking the fourth wall and generally being hilarious. He's the type of "hero" that people who aren't necessarily into normal comic book characters tend to like.

His "shhhh" at the end of this movie is a perfect example of that. Why would he tell the audience to hush, basically implying that they don't want anyone to taddle on them (and he knows that they're watching him in his makebelieve world)? No other character in the entire movie did anything like that. That's what Deadpool is always like.

Battle Pope is the only comic I've actually read. I don't really have too much of an interest in comics to be honest. . But I did Wiki Deadpool, seems like an interesting character, I'd definitely enjoy seeing a movie done about him. Properly that is, I've learned not to get hopes up for film industries.

Give ISOHunt a visit, and search for Deadpool. Download early comics from his solo series. If you're looking for more comedy, follow that up with the "Cable & Deadpool" run. If you want to go in a more serious direction with the character (but still comedic), download practically anything else.

He teleports in the comics, although its a technological thing, they could do it as a power. And obviously he has broken free of the mind control.

Holy fuck, my girl and I stayed through the credits and all we saw was the "drinking to remember" ending. That Deadpool ending fucking rocks though, I have a feeling they can still do justice with the character if they stick with Reynolds.

Edit: Also would love to see Gambit again in a Deadpool movie. We loved when he used his cards, unfortunately he only used them once. More card slingin' prz.

I Didn't like Barackapoolclops but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

    Spoiler: show
Now that the word is out that Deadpool and Weapon XI are one and the same in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” — a significant, less mouthy departure from the comic books in more ways than one — it’s natural to wonder how a faithful “Deadpool” spin-off movie could ever occur. Luckily, Ryan Reynolds is dreaming up some ideas.

“I’m thinking musical — Rated ‘R’ musical,” Reynolds joked with MTV News. “It hasn’t been done. Deadpool singing, dancing… dancing girls…”

Even though he’s kidding, that idea isn’t too far off — in order to make a successful “Deadpool” movie, you have to break down the fourth wall, according to Reynolds.

“Is it a fractured narrative, does it take place in the present, future and past — I feel like that’s the way to do a ‘Deadpool’ movie,” Reynolds described. “You definitely have to break the fourth wall and you have to find a way to make that make sense, which is no small feat. So it would involve a really talented writer, an amazing visionary director and I think a great collaboration between everybody passionate about this character.”

That passion part of it is the key for Reynolds, said the actor. Unless the entire creative team is on board with making a very faithful adaptation of the character, Reynolds has no interest in pursuing a spin-off film.

“I’ve made no secret about my desire to do a ‘Deadpool’ movie, but if you’re going to do it, it would have to be 100% faithful to its origins,” explained the actor. “To stay as true to the source material as possible is the only way to do it, and I say that because there’s nothing more interesting than the source material for Deadpool. There’s no reason to deviate from that.”

Given his stance on staying true to the character, how does Reynolds feel about the changes made to Deadpool in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”?

“They deviated [from Deadpool's origins] in a movie like ‘Wolverine‘ because the movie is called ‘Wolverine’ and they have to make concessions and adjustments — and I totally understand that,” said Reynolds. “But if I were going to do a ‘Deadpool’ movie, I would want to be pretty strict about keeping it real.”

    Keep hope alive

Saw this yesterday w/ the gf. I found the leaked version way more interesting; nothing beats unfinished cgi and Jack hanging from wires and shit. Eh, the theatre was kinda packed too.
